惟見慘無人道之事、入禁地（讀者其深味斯言、）則在猶太者當避入深山、

“ When you see‘ the abomination that causes desolation’ standing where it does not belong— let the reader understand— then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

“ You will see‘ the hated thing that destroys.’( Daniel 9:27; 11:31; 12:11) It will stand where it does not belong. The reader should understand this. Then those who are in Judea should escape to the mountains.

“ But when you see the abomination of desolation standing where he ought not to be( let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

“ The day is coming when you will see the sacrilegious object that causes desecration standing where he should not be.”( Reader, pay attention!)“ Then those in Judea must flee to the hills.

從常獻的祭被廢除，並那帶來荒涼的可憎者被設立的時候，必有一千兩百九十天；

他將與許多人訂立一個『七』之久的堅固盟約；而在半個『七』的時候，他將使祭物和供物止息。在那些可憎者的羽翼上，必出現一個帶來荒涼的人，直到那被註定的滅絕傾瀉在這帶來荒涼的人身上。」

他派出的軍隊會起來褻瀆那作為堡壘的聖所，並廢除常獻的祭，設立那帶來荒涼的可憎者。

智慧就在這裡。有理性的人應當計算這獸的數目，因為這是一個人的數目；其數目是六百六十六。

弟兄們，你們在思想上不要做小孩子，但是在惡事上要做嬰孩，在思想上要做成熟的人。

「當你們看見耶路撒冷被軍隊包圍的時候，你們那時就應當知道它的毀滅近了。那時，在猶太的人應當逃到山裡；在城裡的人應當出來；在鄉下的人不要進城；因為這是報應的日子，為要應驗經上所記載的一切。在那些日子裡，孕婦和哺乳的女人有禍了！因為將有大苦難臨到這地，也有震怒臨到這民。他們將倒在刀口下，被擄到各國去。耶路撒冷將要被外邦人踐踏，直到外邦人的日期滿了。

然後我聽見一位聖者在說話，又有一位聖者問那說話的：「這異象，就是有關常獻的祭、帶來荒涼的罪過、聖所和天軍被踐踏之事，要到什麼時候呢？」

腓利跑過去，聽見他正在誦讀先知以賽亞的書，就問：「難道你真的明白你所讀的嗎？」太監回答說：「如果沒有人指教我，我怎麼能明白呢？」他就請腓利上來和他同坐。

那宣讀這預言之話的，那些聽見這預言之話並遵守其中所記載的，都是蒙福的，因為時候快到了。

耶穌問他們：「這一切你們都領悟了嗎？」他們說：「是的，領悟了。」

「當你們看見藉著先知但以理所說的『那帶來毀滅的褻瀆者』站在聖地的時候——讀者應當思考——那時，在猶太的人應當逃到山裡；在屋頂上的人，不要下來拿屋子裡的東西；在田裡的人，不要返回去拿自己的衣服。在那些日子裡，孕婦和哺乳的女人有禍了！你們要禱告，好讓你們逃難的時候不在冬天，也不在安息日。因為那時將有大患難。這樣的患難從世界開始直到如今，從來沒有發生過，也絕不再發生。如果那些日子不被減少，就沒有一個人能得救。可是為了那些蒙揀選的人，那些日子將被減少。「那時候，如果有人對你們說『看哪，基督在這裡！』或『他在那裡！』你們不要相信。因為假基督們和假先知們會出現，行大神蹟和奇事，如果有可能，甚至迷惑那些蒙揀選的人。看哪，我已經預先告訴你們了！所以，如果有人對你們說『看哪，基督在曠野裡！』你們不要出去；有人說：『看哪，他在內室裡！』你們也不要相信；因為就像閃電從東邊發出，直照到西邊，人子的來臨也將要這樣。屍體在哪裡，禿鷹就聚集在哪裡。

甚至是那些沒有生命卻能發出聲音的東西，例如笛子或豎琴，如果發出的音調沒有分別，怎麼能使人知道所吹所彈的是什麼呢？實際上，如果號角發出的聲音真的不清楚，誰會準備好出戰呢？
