“ When you see‘ the abomination that causes desolation’ standing where it does not belong— let the reader understand— then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

“ You will see‘ the hated thing that destroys.’( Daniel 9:27; 11:31; 12:11) It will stand where it does not belong. The reader should understand this. Then those who are in Judea should escape to the mountains.

從廢除常獻祭，並設立那使地荒涼的可憎的像的時候起，必有一千二百九十天。

一七之內，他必和許多人堅立盟約；一七之半，他必使獻祭和供物終止；他必在殿裡（“殿裡”原文作“翼上”）；設立那使地荒涼的可憎的像（“可憎的像”原文是複數），直到指定的結局傾倒在那造成荒涼的人身上。”

他的軍隊必起來，褻瀆聖殿，就是那堡壘，廢除常獻祭，又在殿裡設立了那使地荒涼的可憎的像。

在這裡要有智慧。有悟性的人，就讓他計算獸的數字，因為這是人的數字，它的數字是六百六十六。

敵人伸手奪取她的一切珍寶，她看著外族人闖入她的聖所：你曾禁止他們進入你的會中。

弟兄們，你們在思想上不要作小孩子，卻要在惡事上作嬰孩，在思想上作成年人。

“當你們看見耶路撒冷被軍隊圍困的時候，就知道它荒涼的日子近了。那時，住在猶太的，應該逃到山上；住在城裡的，要離開；住在鄉下的，不要進城。因為這是報仇的日子，使經上的一切話都得應驗。當那些日子，懷孕的和乳養孩子的有禍了！因為大災難要臨到這地，烈怒要臨到這民。他們將倒在刀下，被擄到各國，耶路撒冷必被外族人踐踏，直到外族人的日期滿足。

我聽見一位聖者在說話，又有一位聖者問他：“這個關於除掉常獻的祭，和引致毀壞的罪過，以及踐踏聖所和聖民（“聖民”和8:10~11的“天象”原文是同一個字）的異象，要到幾時呢？”

主耶和華這樣說：“以色列人中一切身心都未受割禮的外族人，都不可進入我的聖所。

腓利就跑過去，聽見他讀以賽亞先知的書，就問他：“你所讀的，你明白嗎？”他說：“沒有人指導我，怎能明白呢？”於是請腓利上車，同他坐在一起。

讀這書上預言的人，和那些聽見這預言並且遵守書中記載的人，都是有福的！因為時候近了。

“這一切你們明白嗎？”他們回答：“明白。”

“當你們看見但以理先知所說的‘那造成荒涼的可憎者’，站在聖地的時候（讀者必須領悟），那時，住在猶太的應當逃到山上；在房頂的不要下來拿家裡的東西；在田裡的也不要回去取衣服。當那些日子，懷孕的和乳養孩子的有禍了！你們應當祈求，叫你們逃難的時候，不是在冬天或安息日，因為那時必有大災難，這是從世界的開始到現在未曾有過的，以後也必不會再有。如果那些日子不減少，沒有一個人可以存活；但是為了選民，那些日子必會減少。那時，如果有人對你們說：‘看哪，基督在這裡！’或說：‘他在那裡！’你們不要信，因為必有假基督和假先知出現，顯大神蹟和奇事；如果可以的話，他們連選民也要迷惑。你們看！我已經事先告訴你們了。如果他們對你們說：‘看！基督在曠野裡。’你們不要出去；或說：‘看！他在內室裡。’也不要相信。電光怎樣從東方閃出來，一直照到西方，人子降臨的時候，也是這樣。屍首在哪裡，鷹也必聚在哪裡。

甚至那些沒有生命卻能發聲的東西，例如簫或琴，如果音調不分，怎能使人知道所彈所奏的是甚麼呢？又如果軍號所發的聲音不清楚，誰會準備作戰呢？
