But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be ours.

不料，那些園戶彼此說：『這是承受產業的。來吧，我們殺他，產業就歸我們了！』

那些園戶卻彼此說：『這是承受產業的。來，我們殺了他，產業就歸我們了！』

那些園戶卻彼此說：『這是承受產業的。來，我們殺了他，產業就歸我們了！』

這班佃戶卻彼此商量說，『這個就是園主的繼承人。來吧！我們殺掉他，產業就歸我們了。』

那些佃戶卻彼此說：‘這是繼承產業的；來，我們殺了他，產業就是我們的了。’

「可是那些農夫彼此說：『這是繼承人。來，我們把他殺了，那繼業就歸我們了。』

農夫相語曰、此其嗣子、且來殺之、業歸我矣、

農夫相告曰、此其嗣子、且來殺之、業歸我矣、

園夫相語曰、斯乃嗣子、盍來殺之、業必歸我、

詎園戶議曰：「是為其嗣、曷共殺之、其產歸吾矣。」

“ But the tenants said to one another,‘ This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’

“ But the renters said to each other,‘ This is the one who will receive all the owner’s property someday. Come, let’s kill him. Then everything will be ours.’

“ But the tenant farmers said to one another,‘ Here comes the heir to this estate. Let’s kill him and get the estate for ourselves!’

saying, We strictly charged you not to teach in this name: and behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.

And they sought to lay hold on him; and they feared the multitude; for they perceived that he spake the parable against them: and they left him, and went away.

Many bulls have compassed me; Strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.They gape upon me with their mouth, As a ravening and a roaring lion.I am poured out like water, And all my bones are out of joint: My heart is like wax; It is melted within me.My strength is dried up like a potsherd; And my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; And thou hast brought me into the dust of death.

Thus saith Jehovah, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers: Kings shall see and arise; princes, and they shall worship; because of Jehovah that is faithful, even the Holy One of Israel, who hath chosen thee.

and I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed: he shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

He was oppressed, yet when he was afflicted he opened not his mouth; as a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep that before its shearers is dumb, so he opened not his mouth.By oppression and judgment he was taken away; and as for his generation, who among them considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living for the transgression of my people to whom the stroke was due?

him, being delivered up by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye by the hand of lawless men did crucify and slay:

Which of the prophets did not your fathers persecute? and they killed them that showed before of the coming of the Righteous One; of whom ye have now become betrayers and murderers;

The chief priests therefore and the Pharisees gathered a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many signs.If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans will come and take away both our place and our nation.But a certain one of them, Caiaphas, being high priest that year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all,nor do ye take account that it is expedient for you that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.

Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the Wise- men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the male children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the borders thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had exactly learned of the Wise- men.

And when Herod the king heard it, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.And gathering together all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he inquired of them where the Christ should be born.And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judæa: for thus it is written through the prophet,And thou Bethlehem, land of Judah, Art in no wise least among the princes of Judah: For out of thee shall come forth a governor, Who shall be shepherd of my people Israel.Then Herod privily called the Wise- men, and learned of them exactly what time the star appeared.And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search out exactly concerning the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word, that I also may come and worship him.And they, having heard the king, went their way; and lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.And when they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.And they came into the house and saw the young child with Mary his mother; and they fell down and worshipped him; and opening their treasures they offered unto him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh.And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.Now when they were departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I tell thee: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.

For they that dwell in Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath, fulfilled them by condemning him.And though they found no cause of death in him, yet asked they of Pilate that he should be slain.

Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into one of the pits, and we will say, An evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams.

The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against Jehovah, and against his anointed, saying,Let us break their bonds asunder, And cast away their cords from us.
