“耶路撒冷啊，耶路撒冷啊，你常杀害先知，又用石头打死那奉差遣到你这里来的人。我多次愿意聚集你的儿女，好像母鸡把小鸡聚集在翅膀底下，只是你们不愿意。

人为人子恨恶你们，拒绝你们，辱骂你们，弃掉你们的名，以为是恶，你们就有福了！当那日，你们要欢喜跳跃，因为你们在天上的赏赐是大的。他们的祖宗待先知也是这样。”

其余的拿住仆人，凌辱他们，把他们杀了。

应当欢喜快乐，因为你们在天上的赏赐是大的。在你们以前的先知，人也是这样逼迫他们。”

我告诉你们，以利亚已经来了，他们也任意待他，正如经上所指着他的话。”

自从你们列祖出埃及地的那日，直到今日，我差遣我的仆人众先知到你们那里去，每日从早起来差遣他们。你们却不听从，不侧耳而听，竟硬着颈项行恶，比你们列祖更甚。“你要将这一切的话告诉他们，他们却不听从；呼唤他们，他们却不答应。你要对他们说：‘这就是不听从耶和华他们神的话、不受教训的国民；从他们的口中，诚实灭绝了。’”
