乃多端設喻以訓之、

謹防若人、蓋將付爾於公會、鞭爾於會堂、

耶穌見所請之人、首位是擇、遂設喻語之曰、爾見請赴婚筵、毋居首位、恐所請有尊於爾者、則請爾與彼之人、前語爾曰、其位讓於斯人、爾必慚而就末位、惟見請時、往居末位、則請爾者來語爾曰、友上坐、則爾於同席者前有榮矣、蓋凡自高者、將卑之、自卑者、將高之也、○
