没有一个人能回答一句话，从那日以后没有人敢再问他什么。

坚守合乎教义的可靠之道，就能将健全的教导劝勉人，又能驳倒争辩的人。因为也有许多人不受约束，说空话欺哄人，尤其是那些奉割礼的人。这些人的口必须堵住，因为他们贪不义之财，将不该教导的事教导人，败坏人的全家。

你们的言谈要时常带着温和，好像用盐调味，让你们知道该怎样应对每一个人。

我们知道律法所说的话都是对律法之下的人说的，好塞住各人的口，使普世的人都伏在上帝的审判之下。所以，凡血肉之躯没有一个能因律法的行为而在上帝面前称义，因为律法本是要人认识罪。

以前没有律法的时候，我是活的；但是诫命来到，罪活起来，

“他们惊惶不再回答，一言不发。我岂因他们不说话，因他们站住不再回答，仍旧等候呢？

压伤的芦苇，他不折断，将残的灯火，他不吹灭，直到他使公理得胜。

我因律法而向律法死了，使我可以向上帝活着。我已经与基督同钉十字架，
