我詣耶和華、跪拜至上之上帝、當奉何物、豈以燔祭及盈歲之犢、而詣之乎、耶和華豈悅牡羊千千、或油溪萬萬乎、我豈可因己過、獻我首生之子、緣我魂之罪、獻我身之果乎、人乎、耶和華已示爾何者為善、彼所求於爾者、非惟行公義、好仁慈、謙卑與爾上帝偕行乎、○

我欲矜恤、不欲祭祀、欲識上帝之知識、愈於燔祭、

撒母耳曰、耶和華豈喜燔祭及他祭、如喜聽其言乎、夫順服愈於祭祀、聽從愈於羊脂、

爾若知我欲矜恤、不欲祭祀之意、則不罪無辜者矣、

蓋我來非召義人、乃召罪人耳、○

我不因爾祭品而加責、爾之燔祭、恆在我前兮、不取牡牛於爾家、不取山羊於爾牢兮、叢林百獸、千山羣畜、悉屬我兮、山嶽之禽、皆我所知、原野之獸、為我所有兮、我若飢、不告爾、世界與充其中者、咸屬我兮、我豈食牡牛之肉、飲山羊之血乎、其以感謝為祭、獻於上帝、向至高者償爾願兮、患難之日、爾當籲我、我必援爾、爾亦榮我兮、○

我若能言諸國諸天使之言而無愛、則猶鳴金響鈸、雖能預言、洞悉諸奧諸智、且篤信足以移山、若無愛、則我為烏有、雖罄所有以施濟、又舍身被焚、若無愛、則於我無益、

耶和華曰、爾獻祭品眾多、與我何與、牡羊之燔祭、肥畜之脂膏、我已厭之、犢血羔血、與牡山羊之血、我不悅之、爾來覲我、踐我院宇、誰命之者、虛有之禮物、勿復獻之、馨香我所憎、月朔安息集會為可惡、作惡而守肅會、我不容之、爾之月朔節期、我心惡之、以為重負、倦於擔荷、爾舉手、我則掩目、爾多禱、我不俯聽、爾手盈以血也、爾其洗滌自潔、去爾惡行於我目前、止息行惡、學習行善、尋求公義、懲治強暴、為孤子伸冤、為嫠婦辨屈、○

以感謝為祭者、即尊榮我、遵正道者、我必示以上帝之拯救兮、

我所選禁食之日、豈如是乎、令人苦其心志、俯首若蘆、以麻與灰、布於身下、此豈稱為禁食、為耶和華所悅納之日乎、我所選之禁食、豈非釋凶惡之索、解人之負、縱受屈者自逸、而折諸軛乎、豈非頒食於飢者、導流離之貧民、寓於爾室、見裸者而衣之、不掩面於骨肉乎、

行義秉公、耶和華所悅納、愈於獻祭、

爾之節期、我厭惡之、爾之肅會、我不悅之、爾雖獻燔祭素祭、我不悅納、爾肥牲之酬恩祭、我不垂顧、爾謳歌之聲、撤於我前、爾琴瑟之音、我不聽聞、惟願公平如流水之滾滾、仁義如巨川之源源、

萬軍之耶和華、以色列之上帝曰、以爾燔祭加於他祭、而食其肉、蓋我導爾列祖出埃及時、未嘗以燔祭及他祭命之、惟命之曰、當聽我言、我則為爾上帝、爾為我民、悉行我所命爾之道、必蒙福祉、

前既言祭與禮、燔祭罪祭、爾不欲之、且不悅之、是皆依律而獻者、
