Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this:“ You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.

He said to Him,“ Which ones?” Jesus said,“‘ You shall not murder,’‘ You shall not commit adultery,’‘ You shall not steal,’‘ You shall not bear false witness,’‘ Honor your father and your mother,’ and,‘ You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”

You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord.

So he answered and said,“‘ You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and‘ your neighbor as yourself.’”

If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture,“ You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well;but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors.For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.For He who said,“ Do not commit adultery,” also said,“ Do not murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty.For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

So which of these three do you think was neighbor to him who fell among the thieves?”And he said,“ He who showed mercy on him.” Then Jesus said to him,“ Go and do likewise.”

‘ You shall not cheat your neighbor, nor rob him. The wages of him who is hired shall not remain with you all night until morning.
