So when Peter saw it, he responded to the people:“ Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk?The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let Him go.But you denied the Holy One and the Just, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you,and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses.And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

“ Look among the nations and watch— Be utterly astounded! For I will work a work in your days Which you would not believe, though it were told you.

Beware therefore, lest what has been spoken in the prophets come upon you:‘ Behold, you despisers, Marvel and perish! For I work a work in your days, A work which you will by no means believe, Though one were to declare it to you.’”

“ For there is no sorcery against Jacob, Nor any divination against Israel. It now must be said of Jacob And of Israel,‘ Oh, what God has done!’

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory.

To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ;to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places,according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord,

So they were all amazed and perplexed, saying to one another,“ Whatever could this mean?”
