倘有人詰爾、因何行此、則曰、主需之、即許爾牽之、

如有人問故、第曰：「主需一用、即當歸還。」』

The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him.

Wealth and honor come from you alone, for you rule over everything. Power and might are in your hand, and at your discretion people are made great and given strength.“ O our God, we thank you and praise your glorious name!But who am I, and who are my people, that we could give anything to you? Everything we have has come from you, and we give you only what you first gave us!We are here for only a moment, visitors and strangers in the land as our ancestors were before us. Our days on earth are like a passing shadow, gone so soon without a trace.“ O Lord our God, even this material we have gathered to build a Temple to honor your holy name comes from you! It all belongs to you!I know, my God, that you examine our hearts and rejoice when you find integrity there. You know I have done all this with good motives, and I have watched your people offer their gifts willingly and joyously.“ O Lord, the God of our ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, make your people always want to obey you. See to it that their love for you never changes.

When you go to war, your people will serve you willingly. You are arrayed in holy garments, and your strength will be renewed each day like the morning dew.

This is the message of Good News for the people of Israel— that there is peace with God through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.

You know the generous grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that by his poverty he could make you rich.

Then they all prayed,“ O Lord, you know every heart. Show us which of these men you have chosen

and human hands can’t serve his needs— for he has no needs. He himself gives life and breath to everything, and he satisfies every need.

He will take you upstairs to a large room that is already set up. That is where you should prepare our meal.”

Yet for a little while you made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor.You gave them authority over all things.” Now when it says“ all things,” it means nothing is left out. But we have not yet seen all things put under their authority.What we do see is Jesus, who for a little while was given a position“ a little lower than the angels”; and because he suffered death for us, he is now“ crowned with glory and honor.” Yes, by God’s grace, Jesus tasted death for everyone.
