儻人問爾胡為若是、則曰、主需之、彼必立遣之、

倘有人問爾何為、則曰、主需之、彼必從而放焉、

倘有人詰爾、因何行此、則曰、主需之、即許爾牽之、

如有人問故、第曰：「主需一用、即當歸還。」』

The earth and everything in it, the world and its inhabitants, belong to the LORD;

Riches and honor come from you, and you are the ruler of everything. Power and might are in your hand, and it is in your hand to make great and to give strength to all.Now therefore, our God, we give you thanks and praise your glorious name.But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? For everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your own hand.For we are aliens and temporary residents in your presence as were all our ancestors. Our days on earth are like a shadow, without hope.LORD our God, all this wealth that we’ve provided for building you a house for your holy name comes from your hand; everything belongs to you.I know, my God, that you test the heart and that you are pleased with what is right. I have willingly given all these things with an upright heart, and now I have seen your people who are present here giving joyfully and willingly to you.LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, our ancestors, keep this desire forever in the thoughts of the hearts of your people, and confirm their hearts toward you.

Your people will volunteer on your day of battle. In holy splendor, from the womb of the dawn, the dew of your youth belongs to you.

He sent the message to the Israelites, proclaiming the good news of peace through Jesus Christ— he is Lord of all.

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ: Though he was rich, for your sake he became poor, so that by his poverty you might become rich.

Then they prayed,“ You, Lord, know everyone’s hearts; show which of these two you have chosen

Neither is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives everyone life and breath and all things.

He will show you a large room upstairs, furnished and ready. Make the preparations for us there.”

You made him lower than the angels for a short time; you crowned him with glory and honorand subjected everything under his feet. For in subjecting everything to him, he left nothing that is not subject to him. As it is, we do not yet see everything subjected to him.But we do see Jesus— made lower than the angels for a short time so that by God’s grace he might taste death for everyone— crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death.
