They demanded,“ By what authority are you doing all these things? Who gave you the right to do them?”

问他说：“你仗着什么权柄做这些事？给你这权柄的是谁呢？”

问他说：“你仗着什么权柄做这些事？给你权柄做这些事的是谁呢？”

问他说：“你仗着什么权柄做这些事？给你权柄做这些事的是谁呢？”

“你凭什么权柄做这些事？谁授权给你了？”

问他：“你凭什么权柄作这些事？谁给你权柄作这些事？”

他们问：“你凭什么权柄做这些事？谁给你这权柄，让你做这些事？”

問他說：「你仗着甚麼權柄做這些事？給你這權柄的是誰呢？」

問他說：「你仗着甚麼權柄做這些事？給你權柄做這些事的是誰呢？」

問他說：「你仗着甚麼權柄做這些事？給你權柄做這些事的是誰呢？」

「你憑什麼權柄做這些事？誰授權給你了？」

問他：“你憑甚麼權柄作這些事？誰給你權柄作這些事？”

對他說：『你仗着甚麼權柄作這些事啊？誰給了你這權柄，使你作這些事呢？』

他們問：「你憑什麼權柄做這些事？誰給你這權柄，讓你做這些事？」

曰、爾以何權行是、賜爾行此權者誰耶、

曰、爾以何權行是、誰賜爾此權耶、

爾以何權行此諸事、行此諸事之權誰賜爾、

『爾憑何權為此種切？且孰授爾以此權耶？』

“ By what authority are you doing these things?” they asked.“ And who gave you authority to do this?”

“ By what authority are you doing these things?” they asked.“ Who gave you authority to do this?”

and they said to him,“ By what authority are you doing these things, or who gave you this authority to do them?”

and asked him,“ By what authority are you doing these things? Who gave you this authority to do these things?”

and began saying to Him,“ By what authority are You doing these things, or who gave You this authority to do these things?”

And they said to Him,“ By what authority are You doing these things? And who gave You this authority to do these things?”

and they said unto him, By what authority doest thou these things? or who gave thee this authority to do these things?

and asked Him,“ By what authority are You doing these things? Who gave You this authority to do these things?”

And say unto him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority to do these things?

and said,“ By what authority are you doing these things? Or who gave you this authority to do these things?”

and they began saying to him,“ By what authority do you do these things? Or who gave you this authority to do these things?”

The man replied,“ Who appointed you to be our prince and judge? Are you going to kill me as you killed that Egyptian yesterday?” Then Moses was afraid, thinking,“ Everyone knows what I did.”

“ But the man in the wrong pushed Moses aside.‘ Who made you a ruler and judge over us?’ he asked.‘ Are you going to kill me as you killed that Egyptian yesterday?’

Isn’t it enough that you brought us out of Egypt, a land flowing with milk and honey, to kill us here in this wilderness, and that you now treat us like your subjects?

They united against Moses and Aaron and said,“ You have gone too far! The whole community of Israel has been set apart by the Lord, and he is with all of us. What right do you have to act as though you are greater than the rest of the Lord’s people?”

Moses was with our ancestors, the assembly of God’s people in the wilderness, when the angel spoke to him at Mount Sinai. And there Moses received life giving words to pass on to us.“ But our ancestors refused to listen to Moses. They rejected him and wanted to return to Egypt.

“ You stubborn people! You are heathen at heart and deaf to the truth. Must you forever resist the Holy Spirit? That’s what your ancestors did, and so do you!
