Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

So I tell you, when you pray for something, believe that you have already received it. Then it will be yours.

誠信而禱、所求必獲也。』

若爾中有人智慧不足、則當求之天主、終必如願以償；蓋天主賜人至厚、博愛慈祥、而不事呵叱也。然務必求之以信、莫存絲毫狐疑。狐疑之人、如海上波濤、因風而起、隨風而轉、漫無定止；

我又語爾、倘爾中二人、在地同心祈禱、則無論何求、在天我父必成全之。

凡爾因吾名而求者、予必成之、俾父因子見榮。

爾若恆與吾俱、而吾道恆存乎爾、則爾凡有所求、必得如願以償。

爾有所求、則必予爾；覓則必獲；叩則必為爾啟。蓋求者無不得、覓者無不獲、而叩者無不見啓也。爾中焉有其子求餅而予以石、求魚而予以蛇？夫以爾之不仁、尚知以美物貽爾子女、況爾在天之父、詎能不賜求之者以佳惠乎？

故予語爾、求則予爾、覓則見獲、叩則必為爾啟；蓋求者無不得、覓者無不獲、而叩者無不見啟也。爾中孰有求餅於其父、而見賜以石、求魚而見賜以蛇、求卵而見賜以蝎者乎？夫以爾等罪人、尚知以嘉惠賜爾兒女；況在爾之天父、有不更以聖神賦予求之者乎！』

是日爾將無所問於予矣。予切實語爾爾有所祈於父、父必以予名義、賜之於爾。爾向未托予名義以求、求則必受、爾樂充溢。予向以譬喻教爾、惟時即至、予將不復設譬、必欲明白曉暢、以父示爾。是日爾當以予名義祈求、予不曰：「予當為爾轉求、」蓋父實躬自愛爾、以爾愛予、且信予出自父故。

至誠篤信之祈禱、必能起沉回生、而其所犯之罪、亦必蒙赦。爾等應彼此認罪、互為祈求、俾得全復。善人之祈禱、厥效甚大。昔伊理藹虔祈勿雨、而其地不見雨者、三年六月；後復祈求、則天沛然下雨、地亦豐登。彼人也、我亦人也；有志者亦若斯。

耶穌復設一喻、勸人恆禱、無餒於心、曰『昔有邑宰、不敬天主、無恤於人。邑中有一嫠婦含冤、頻來訴、請為昭雪。邑宰置不理、既而自思曰：「吾雖不畏天命、不恤人言、奈此婦糾纏不休、姑為伸雪、用杜煩瀆。」』主又曰：『爾其識之！夫彼不義之宰、尚如是言、況在天主、焉能不聽其選民之日夜呼籲、而為之昭雪乎？又焉能漠視其困苦、而久置不理乎？予實語爾、天主必迅予昭雪矣。雖然、人子重臨之日、猶能見篤信之德、存於人世否乎？』
