Therefore I tell you, all the things you pray and ask for— believe that you have received them, and you will have them.

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

So I tell you, when you pray for something, believe that you have already received it. Then it will be yours.

I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.

And if you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”

Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without criticizing, and it will be given to him.But let him ask in faith without doubting. For the doubter is like the surging sea, driven and tossed by the wind.

Again, I assure you: If two of you on earth agree about any matter that you pray for, it will be done for you by My Father in heaven.

Whatever you ask in My name, I will do it so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you want and it will be done for you.

“ Keep asking, and it will be given to you. Keep searching, and you will find. Keep knocking, and the door will be opened to you.For everyone who asks receives, and the one who searches finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.What man among you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone?Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake?If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

“ So I say to you, keep asking, and it will be given to you. Keep searching, and you will find. Keep knocking, and the door will be opened to you.For everyone who asks receives, and the one who searches finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead of a fish?Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion?If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?”

In that day you will not ask Me anything.“ I assure you: Anything you ask the Father in My name, He will give you.Until now you have asked for nothing in My name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.“ I have spoken these things to you in figures of speech. A time is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figures, but I will tell you plainly about the Father.In that day you will ask in My name. I am not telling you that I will make requests to the Father on your behalf.For the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and have believed that I came from God.

The prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will restore him to health; if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The urgent request of a righteous person is very powerful in its effect.Elijah was a man with a nature like ours; yet he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the land.Then he prayed again, and the sky gave rain and the land produced its fruit.

He then told them a parable on the need for them to pray always and not become discouraged:“ There was a judge in a certain town who didn’t fear God or respect man.And a widow in that town kept coming to him, saying,‘ Give me justice against my adversary.’“ For a while he was unwilling, but later he said to himself,‘ Even though I don’t fear God or respect man,yet because this widow keeps pestering me, I will give her justice, so she doesn’t wear me out by her persistent coming.’”Then the Lord said,“ Listen to what the unjust judge says.Will not God grant justice to His elect who cry out to Him day and night? Will He delay to help them?I tell you that He will swiftly grant them justice. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He find that faith on earth?”
