I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain,‘ May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart.

我誠語汝、凡命此山、移而投海、中心不疑、惟信所言必成者、則將得之也、

我誠告爾、凡命此山曰、移去投海、而心中不疑、惟信所言必成、則所言可成焉、

吾實語爾、人但能無餒於心、篤信所言必成、即命此山自移而投於海、亦必予成。

“ Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain,‘ Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.

“ What I’m about to tell you is true. Suppose someone says to this mountain,‘ Go and throw yourself into the sea.’ They must not doubt in their heart. They must believe that what they say will happen. Then it will be done for them.

Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain,‘ Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.

Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain,‘ Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted to him.

For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain,‘ Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou taken up and cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that what he saith cometh to pass; he shall have it.

I assure you: If anyone says to this mountain,‘ Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.

“ You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them.“ I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain,‘ Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.”

But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!

Then Jesus told them,“ I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain,‘ May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen.

Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires.

You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father.

If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind.

The Lord answered,“ If you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree,‘ May you be uprooted and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you!

It was by faith that Abraham offered Isaac as a sacrifice when God was testing him. Abraham, who had received God’s promises, was ready to sacrifice his only son, Isaac,even though God had told him,“ Isaac is the son through whom your descendants will be counted.”Abraham reasoned that if Isaac died, God was able to bring him back to life again. And in a sense, Abraham did receive his son back from the dead.

If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing.

Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping— believing that he would become the father of many nations. For God had said to him,“ That’s how many descendants you will have!”And Abraham’s faith did not weaken, even though, at about 100 years of age, he figured his body was as good as dead— and so was Sarah’s womb.Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God.He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises.And because of Abraham’s faith, God counted him as righteous.And when God counted him as righteous, it wasn’t just for Abraham’s benefit. It was recordedfor our benefit, too, assuring us that God will also count us as righteous if we believe in him, the one who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.He was handed over to die because of our sins, and he was raised to life to make us right with God.

As soon as Jesus heard the news, he left in a boat to a remote area to be alone. But the crowds heard where he was headed and followed on foot from many towns.
