On reaching Jerusalem, Jesus entered the temple courts and began driving out those who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves,

犹太人的逾越节近了，耶稣就上耶路撒冷去。看见殿里有卖牛、羊、鸽子的，并有兑换银钱的人坐在那里，耶稣就拿绳子做成鞭子，把牛羊都赶出殿去，倒出兑换银钱之人的银钱，推翻他们的桌子，又对卖鸽子的说：“把这些东西拿去！不要将我父的殿当作买卖的地方。”他的门徒就想起经上记着说：“我为你的殿心里焦急，如同火烧。”

耶稣进了神的殿，赶出殿里一切做买卖的人，推倒兑换银钱之人的桌子，和卖鸽子之人的凳子，对他们说：“经上记着说：‘我的殿必称为祷告的殿，你们倒使它成为贼窝了。’”在殿里有瞎子、瘸子到耶稣跟前，他就治好了他们。祭司长和文士看见耶稣所行的奇事，又见小孩子在殿里喊着说：“和散那归于大卫的子孙！”就甚恼怒，对他说：“这些人所说的，你听见了吗？”耶稣说：“是的。经上说‘你从婴孩和吃奶的口中完全了赞美’的话，你们没有念过吗？”

耶稣进了殿，赶出里头做买卖的人，对他们说：“经上说：‘我的殿必作祷告的殿’，你们倒使它成为贼窝了。”耶稣天天在殿里教训人。祭司长和文士与百姓的尊长都想要杀他，

你就可以换成银子，将银子包起来，拿在手中，往耶和华你神所要选择的地方去。你用这银子，随心所欲，或买牛羊，或买清酒浓酒，凡你心所想的都可以买；你和你的家属在耶和华你神的面前吃喝快乐。
