But it is not so among you: but whosoever would become great among you, shall be your minister;

但你们不可这样。你们中间谁要当首领，谁就要做大家的仆人；

但你们中间却不要这样；谁想在你们中间为大的，就要作你们的仆役，

但你们当中却不是这样；相反，无论谁想在你们当中为大，谁就该做你们的仆人；

惟爾曹不可如是、爾曹中欲為大者、當為爾役、

爾中則不應若是。爾中孰願為大、當為爾役；

Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant,

Don’t be like that. Instead, anyone who wants to be important among you must be your servant.

But it shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant,

But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant,

But it is not so among you. On the contrary, whoever wants to become great among you will be your servant,

But it is not this way among you; rather, whoever wants to become prominent among you shall be your servant;

Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant.

But it must not be like that among you. On the contrary, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant,

But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister:

But it is not this way among you. Instead whoever wants to be great among you must be your servant,

But it shall not be so among you, but whoever wants to become great among you shall be your servant.

But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your teacher, and all ye are brethren.And call no man your father on the earth: for one is your Father, even he who is in heaven.Neither be ye called masters: for one is your master, even the Christ.But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be humbled; and whosoever shall humble himself shall be exalted.

Not so shall it be among you: but whosoever would become great among you shall be your minister;and whosoever would be first among you shall be your servant:

And he sat down, and called the twelve; and he saith unto them, If any man would be first, he shall be last of all, and servant of all.

and said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this little child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same is great.

For every one that exalteth himself shall be humbled; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

I say unto you, This man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be humbled; but he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

For though I was free from all men, I brought myself under bondage to all, that I might gain the more.And to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, not being myself under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;to them that are without law, as without law, not being without law to God, but under law to Christ, that I might gain them that are without law.To the weak I became weak, that I might gain the weak: I am become all things to all men, that I may by all means save some.And I do all things for the gospel’s sake, that I may be a joint partaker thereof.

Likewise, ye younger, be subject unto the elder. Yea, all of you gird yourselves with humility, to serve one another: for God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble.Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time;

Ye call me, Teacher, and, Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, ye also ought to wash one another’s feet.For I have given you an example, that ye also should do as I have done to you.Verily, verily, I say unto you, A servant is not greater than his lord; neither one that is sent greater than he that sent him.If ye know these things, blessed are ye if ye do them.I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth my bread lifted up his heel against me.

For ye, brethren, were called for freedom; only use not your freedom for an occasion to the flesh, but through love be servants one to another.

Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.
