倚靠财富的，自己必跌倒；义人必兴旺如绿叶。

注意！你们这些富足人哪，要为将要临到你们身上的灾难哭泣、号啕。你们的财物腐烂了，你们的衣服被虫子蛀了。你们的金银都生锈了；这锈要证明你们的不是，又要像火一样吞吃你们的肉。你们在这末世只知道积蓄钱财。

至于那些今世富足的人，你要嘱咐他们不要自高，也不要倚赖靠不住的钱财；要倚靠那厚赐万物给我们享受的上帝。

看哪，这就是那不以上帝为保障的人，他只倚靠丰富的财物，在邪恶上坚立自己。

你说：我是富足的，已经发了财，一样都不缺，却不知道你是困苦、可怜、贫穷、瞎眼、赤身的。

孩子们！我与你们同在的时候不多了；你们会找我，但我所去的地方，你们不能去。这话我曾对犹太人说过，现在也照样对你们说。

祸哉！那为本家积蓄不义之财、在高处搭窝、指望得免灾祸的人！

你靠自己的智慧聪明得了财宝，把金银收入库房；你靠自己的大智慧以贸易增添财宝，又因你的财宝心里高傲；

你定睛在财富，它就消失，因为它必长翅膀，如鹰向天飞去。

耶和华如此说：“智慧人不要因他的智慧夸口，勇士不要因他的力气夸口，财主也不要因他的财富夸口；

法利赛人是贪爱钱财的；他们听见这一切话，就嘲笑耶稣。

耶稣就对他们说：“孩子们！你们有吃的没有？”他们回答他：“没有。”

门徒听见这话，就非常惊奇，说：“这样，谁能得救呢？”

然后他用比喻对他们说：“有一个财主，田地出产丰富。他自己心里想：‘我的出产没有地方储藏，怎么办呢？’就说：‘我要这么办：要把我的仓库拆了，另盖更大的，在那里好储藏我一切的粮食和财物，然后要对我自己说：你这个人哪，你有许多财物积存，可供多年享用，只管安安逸逸吃喝快乐吧！’上帝却对他说：‘无知的人哪！今夜就要你的性命，你所预备的要归谁呢？’凡为自己积财，在上帝面前却不富足的，也是这样。”

当耶和华发怒的日子，他们的金银不能救自己；耶和华妒忌的火必烧灭全地，要向地上所有的居民施行可怕的毁灭。

孩子们哪，你们是属上帝的，并且胜过了假先知，因为那在你们里面的比那在世界上的更大。

听见的人说：“这样，谁能得救呢？”耶稣说：“在人所不能的事，在上帝都能。”

不要仗势欺人，也不要因抢夺而骄傲；若财宝加增，不要放在心上。

有钱人的财物是他坚固的城，在他幻想中，犹如高墙。

孩子们哪，你们要远避偶像。

耶和华啊，求你用手救我脱离世人，脱离那只在今生有福分的世人！你以财宝充满他们的肚腹，他们因有儿女就满足，将其余的财物留给他们的孩子。

他们那些倚靠财货，自夸钱财多的人，没有一个能赎自己的弟兄，能将赎价给上帝，

我的孩子们哪，我为你们再受生产之苦，直等到基督成形在你们心里。

“我若以黄金为我的指望，对纯金说：你是我的倚靠；我若因财物丰裕，因手多得资财而欢喜；

他的门徒中有好些人听见了，就说：“这话很难，谁听得进呢？”
