云、不仰賴天主保護、惟恃己之多財、盡力作惡者、即是此人、

爾自言我富厚有財、無所匱缺、不知爾實可憫、困苦、貧乏、瞽目、裸身、

小子、我偕爾僅片時、爾將尋我、我所往之處、爾不能至、昔我告猶太人者、今亦告爾、

禍哉爾歟、為己家積不義之財、結巢於高處、求免災害、

倚爾之智慧才能、得諸貲財、積蓄金銀在府庫、爾甚巧於貿易、增益貲財、遂因貲財心驕、

爾豈可為轉瞬即無之貨財勤勞乎、貨財速去、如空中飛鷹、似乎有翼、或作爾豈可注目於貨財乎貨財速歸無有似乎有翼如空中飛鷹

主如是云、智者勿誇其智、勇者勿誇其勇、富者勿誇其富、

法利賽人好利、聞斯言哂之、

遂設喻曰、有一富人、其田所產甚豐、心中自念曰、我之物產、無處可藏、將若何而行、又曰、我必如此行、毀我倉廩、別建其大者、以藏我百穀及所有、後將自謂我心心原文作靈曰、我心心原文作靈歟、今有多物、為多年之用、可安然飲食歡樂、惟天主謂之曰、愚者乎、今夜將索爾靈、則所備者歸於誰、凡為己積財、而在天主前不富者、亦如是、

小子乎、爾曹屬天主、已勝彼眾、蓋在爾內者、較在世內者大也、

聞者曰、然則誰能得救乎、耶穌曰、在人所不能者、在天主則能也、

勒索之貨不可倚賴、劫奪之財不可妄恃、貨財雖然加多、莫以為念、

富人之財如鞏固之城、自視如崇高之垣、

小子乎、爾當自慎、遠避偶像、遠避偶像或作勿拜偶像阿們、

求主以手救我、脫離此世界之人、彼眾今生享福、主賜之財寶、滿其所欲、子孫眾多、又將盈餘留於後裔、

彼倚賴金寶、矜誇多財、人實不能贖己之兄弟、亦不能為彼奉贖金於天主、

小子乎、我復為爾劬勞、待基督狀成於爾心、

何曾以金為望、何曾云精金為我所恃、何曾以貨財之豐、所獲者之多為樂、

門徒聞之、多有云、難哉斯言、誰能聽之、
