蓋爾云、我富矣、已獲富有而無所需矣、不知爾乃困苦、堪悲、貧乏、瞽目、裸體、

小子乎、我尚暫偕爾、爾將尋我、昔我語猶太人、我所往爾不能至、今亦如是語爾也、

獲不義之財、以富其家、營巢於高處、以避凶暴之手、其人禍哉、

以爾智慧明哲、而得貨財、藏金銀於府庫、以大智暨貿易、增益富厚、因而中心驕泰、

豈可注目虛無、蓋貨財誠生羽翼、如鷹飛戾天、

耶和華曰、智者勿誇其智、勇者勿誇其勇、富者勿誇其富、

法利賽人乃好利者、聞而哂之、

耶穌曰、小子、有食乎、對曰、無、

又設喻曰、有一富人、土地蕃殖、自忖曰、無處儲我物產、將何為乎、既而曰、我知所為矣、必毀我倉、而建其大者、以儲百穀財物、我將謂我靈曰、靈乎、爾多財貨積為歷年之用、可安然飲食喜樂也、惟上帝謂之曰、無知者乎、今夜將索爾靈、則所備者誰歸、凡積財於己、而於上帝前不富者亦如是、○

耶和華震怒之日、彼之金銀不能救之、全地必為其憤嫉之火所滅、凡居斯土者、必猝然滅絕、

小子乎、爾曹乃由上帝、已勝彼眾、蓋在爾衷者、大於在世者也、

聞者曰、然則誰能得救乎、曰、人所不能者、上帝能之也、

勿惟暴虐是恃、勿因刦奪而驕、貨財增益、勿繫念兮、

富人之財、為其堅城、視若高垣、

小子乎、宜自守、而遠偶像、

耶和華歟、以手援我、脫於斯世之人、其業乃在今生兮、爾以財貨充其懷、子孫遂其欲、餘業遺於後嗣兮、

恃其貨財、誇其富足者、莫能贖其昆弟、為付贖金於上帝、

小子乎、我復為爾劬勞、待基督之狀、成於爾衷、

我若惟金是望、謂精金曰、爾為我之所恃、若以貨財之豐、手獲之多為樂、

其徒聞之、多云、難哉斯言、誰能聽之、
