倚仗自己財物的，必跌倒；義人必發旺，如青葉。

嗐！你們這些富足人哪，應當哭泣、號咷，因為將有苦難臨到你們身上。你們的財物壞了，衣服也被蟲子咬了。你們的金銀都長了銹；那銹要證明你們的不是，又要吃你們的肉，如同火燒。你們在這末世只知積攢錢財。

你要囑咐那些今世富足的人，不要自高，也不要倚靠無定的錢財；只要倚靠那厚賜百物給我們享受的神。

說：看哪，這就是那不以神為他力量的人，只倚仗他豐富的財物，在邪惡上堅立自己。

你說：我是富足，已經發了財，一樣都不缺；卻不知道你是那困苦、可憐、貧窮、瞎眼、赤身的。

小子們，我還有不多的時候與你們同在；後來你們要找我，但我所去的地方你們不能到。這話我曾對猶太人說過，如今也照樣對你們說。

為本家積蓄不義之財、在高處搭窩、指望免災的有禍了！

你靠自己的智慧聰明得了金銀財寶，收入庫中。你靠自己的大智慧和貿易增添資財，又因資財心裏高傲。

你豈要定睛在虛無的錢財上嗎？因錢財必長翅膀，如鷹向天飛去。

耶和華如此說：「智慧人不要因他的智慧誇口，勇士不要因他的勇力誇口，財主不要因他的財物誇口。

法利賽人是貪愛錢財的；他們聽見這一切話，就嗤笑耶穌。

耶穌就對他們說：「小子！你們有吃的沒有？」他們回答說：「沒有。」

門徒聽見這話，就希奇得很，說：「這樣誰能得救呢？」

就用比喻對他們說：「有一個財主田產豐盛；自己心裏思想說：『我的出產沒有地方收藏，怎麼辦呢？』又說：『我要這麼辦：要把我的倉房拆了，另蓋更大的，在那裏好收藏我一切的糧食和財物，然後要對我的靈魂說：靈魂哪，你有許多財物積存，可作多年的費用，只管安安逸逸地吃喝快樂吧！』神卻對他說：『無知的人哪，今夜必要你的靈魂；你所預備的要歸誰呢？』凡為自己積財，在神面前卻不富足的，也是這樣。」

當耶和華發怒的日子，他們的金銀不能救他們；他的忿怒如火必燒滅全地，毀滅這地的一切居民，而且大大毀滅。

小子們哪，你們是屬神的，並且勝了他們；因為那在你們裏面的，比那在世界上的更大。

聽見的人說：「這樣，誰能得救呢？」耶穌說：「在人所不能的事，在神卻能。」

不要仗勢欺人，也不要因搶奪而驕傲；若財寶加增，不要放在心上。

富足人的財物是他的堅城，在他心想，猶如高牆。

小子們哪，你們要自守，遠避偶像！

耶和華啊，求你用手救我脫離世人，脫離那只在今生有福分的世人！你把你的財寶充滿他們的肚腹；他們因有兒女就心滿意足，將其餘的財物留給他們的嬰孩。

那些倚仗財貨自誇錢財多的人，一個也無法贖自己的弟兄，也不能替他將贖價給神，

我小子啊，我為你們再受生產之苦，直等到基督成形在你們心裏。

我若以黃金為指望，對精金說：你是我的倚靠；我若因財物豐裕，因我手多得資財而歡喜；

他的門徒中有好些人聽見了，就說：「這話甚難，誰能聽呢？」
