弟兄們，想一想你們所蒙的召喚：按人的標準，你們當中有智慧的不多，有權勢的不多，出身高貴的也不多。

耶穌憤怒地環視他們，又為他們心裡剛硬而憂傷，就對那個人說：「伸出手來！」他一伸出來，手就復原了。

耶穌看見他變得很憂愁，就說：「有錢財的人進入神的國，是多麼困難！

耶穌對他的門徒們說：「我確實地告訴你們：富有的人進入天國會很困難。我再告訴你們：駱駝穿過針眼，比富有的人進入神的國更容易呢！」門徒們聽了這話，極其驚訝，就說：「究竟誰能得救呢？」耶穌注視著他們，說：「在人，這是不可能的；但是在神，凡事都可能。」

耶穌回答：「我確確實實地告訴你：一個人如果不是由水和聖靈所生的，就不能進入神的國。

說：「我確實地告訴你們：你們如果不回轉，變得像小孩子一樣，絕不能進入天國。

我親愛的弟兄們，請聽！神難道不是揀選了世上的那些貧窮人，使他們在信仰上富有，並且做他國度的繼承人嗎？這國度是他應許給愛他之人的。

你們這些淫亂的人哪！難道你們不知道，與世界為友，就是與神為敵嗎？所以，如果有人想要和世界做朋友，他就成了神的仇敵！

而這樣，你們就豐豐富富地得到供應，進入我們的主、救主耶穌基督永恆的國度。

我確實地告訴你們：無論誰不像小孩子一樣接受神的國，就絕不能進去。」

可是耶穌環視周圍，要知道是誰做了這事。
