And Jesus looking upon him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.

As Jesus looked at him, he felt love for him and said,“ You lack one thing. Go, sell whatever you have and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

Jesus looking at him loved him, and said to him,“ One thing you lack. Go, sell whatever you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me, taking up the cross.”

Then Jesus said to His disciples,“ If anyone wants to come with Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.

They sold their possessions and property and distributed the proceeds to all, as anyone had a need.

For whoever keeps the entire law, yet fails in one point, is guilty of breaking it all.

Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Make money-bags for yourselves that won’t grow old, an inexhaustible treasure in heaven, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys.

But I have this against you: You have abandoned the love you had at first.

Instruct those who are rich in the present age not to be arrogant or to set their hope on the uncertainty of wealth, but on God, who richly provides us with all things to enjoy.Instruct them to do what is good, to be rich in good works, to be generous, willing to share,storing up for themselves a good reserve for the age to come, so that they may take hold of life that is real.

But I have a few things against you. You have some there who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to place a stumbling block in front of the Israelites: to eat meat sacrificed to idols and to commit sexual immorality.

I will most gladly spend and be spent for you. If I love you more, am I to be loved less?

But I have this against you: You tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess and teaches and deceives My slaves to commit sexual immorality and to eat meat sacrificed to idols.

“ If you want to be perfect,” Jesus said to him,“ go, sell your belongings and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow Me.”

For you sympathized with the prisoners and accepted with joy the confiscation of your possessions, knowing that you yourselves have a better and enduring possession.

and into an inheritance that is imperishable, uncorrupted, and unfading, kept in heaven for you.You are being protected by God’s power through faith for a salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

but one thing is necessary. Mary has made the right choice, and it will not be taken away from her.”

“ Don’t collect for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal.But collect for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves don’t break in and steal.For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Summoning the crowd along with His disciples, He said to them,“ If anyone wants to be My follower, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.

If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me. Where I am, there My servant also will be. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.

Then He said to them all,“ If anyone wants to come with Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.

“ The kingdom of heaven is like treasure, buried in a field, that a man found and reburied. Then in his joy he goes and sells everything he has and buys that field.“ Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls.When he found one priceless pearl, he went and sold everything he had, and bought it.

And I tell you, make friends for yourselves by means of the unrighteous money so that when it fails, they may welcome you into eternal dwellings.

When Jesus heard this, He told him,“ You still lack one thing: Sell all that you have and distribute it to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow Me.”

As He approached and saw the city, He wept over it,

In fact, all those who want to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.

Buy— and do not sell— truth, wisdom, instruction, and understanding.

He said,“ They are indeed My people, children who will not be disloyal,” and He became their Savior.In all their suffering, He suffered, and the Angel of His Presence saved them. He redeemed them because of His love and compassion; He lifted them up and carried them all the days of the past.But they rebelled and grieved His Holy Spirit. So He became their enemy and fought against them.

I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. You will have suffering in this world. Be courageous! I have conquered the world.”

For there was not a needy person among them, because all those who owned lands or houses sold them, brought the proceeds of the things that were sold,and laid them at the apostles’ feet. This was then distributed for each person’s basic needs.Joseph, a Levite and a Cypriot by birth, the one the apostles called Barnabas, which is translated Son of Encouragement,sold a field he owned, brought the money, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.

The young man did not delay doing this, because he was delighted with Jacob’s daughter. Now he was the most important in all his father’s house.
