“ Teacher,” he said,“ I have obeyed all those commandments since I was a boy.”

他對耶穌說：『先生，這一切我從我幼時就都遵守了。』

那個人對耶穌說：「老師，這一切我從年少就遵守了。」

對曰、夫子、凡此我自幼悉守之矣、

對曰、先生、我自幼盡守之矣、

對曰、師、此諸誡、我自幼盡守之、

對曰：『夫子、凡此皆自幼遵行。』

“ Teacher,” he declared,“ all these I have kept since I was a boy.”

And he said to him,“ Teacher, all these I have kept from my youth.”

“ Teacher,” the man replied,“ I’ve obeyed all these commandments since I was young.”

He said to him,“ Teacher, I have kept all these from my youth.”

And he said to Him,“ Teacher, I have kept all these things from my youth.”

And he answered and said to Him,“ Teacher, all these things I have kept from my youth.”

And he said unto him, Teacher, all these things have I observed from my youth.

He said to Him,“ Teacher, I have kept all these from my youth.”

And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth.

The man said to him,“ Teacher, I have wholeheartedly obeyed all these laws since my youth.”

He said to him,“ Teacher, I have observed all these things from my youth.”

“ I have obeyed all those commandments,” the young man said.“ What else do I need to do?”

My people come to you, just as they usually do. They sit in front of you. They hear what you say. But they do not put it into practice. With their mouths they say they love me. But in their hearts they want what belongs to others. They try to get rich by cheating them.You are nothing more to them than someone who sings love songs. They say you have a beautiful voice. They think you play an instrument well. They hear what you say. But they do not put it into practice.

As far as being committed is concerned, I opposed and attacked the church. As far as keeping the law is concerned, I kept it perfectly.

Before I knew about the law, I was alive. But then the commandment came. Sin came to life, and I died.

But the man wanted to make himself look good. So he asked Jesus,“ And who is my neighbor?”

“ I will destroy you. I will bring shame on you in the sight of the nations around you. All those who pass by will see it.

Day after day they worship me. They seem ready and willing to know how I want them to live. They act as if they were a nation that does what is right. They act as if they have not turned away from my commands. They claim to want me to give them fair decisions. They seem ready and willing to come near and worship me.

They will act as if they were serving God. But what they do will show that they have turned their backs on God’s power. Have nothing to do with these people.

“ Will a mere human being dare to steal from God? But you rob me!“ You ask,‘ How are we robbing you?’“ By holding back your offerings. You also steal from me when you do not bring me a tenth of everything you produce.

The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed.‘ God, I thank you that I am not like other people,’ he said.‘ I am not like robbers or those who do other evil things. I am not like those who commit adultery. I am not even like this tax collector.I fast twice a week. And I give a tenth of all I get.’
