Some Pharisees approached Him to test Him. They asked,“ Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?”

有法利赛人来问他说：“人休妻可以不可以？”意思要试探他。

一些法利赛人想试探耶稣，就来问祂：“男人可以休妻吗？”

有法利赛人前来试探耶稣，问他：“丈夫可以休妻吗？

有些法利赛人前来试探耶稣，问他：“人是否可以休妻呢？”

有法利賽人就而問曰、人出妻可乎、蓋試之也、

𠵽唎㘔人欲試耶穌、就而問曰、人出妻可乎、

法利賽人入試耶穌、就而問曰、人出妻可乎、

法利塞人趨前而問曰：『人可出其妻乎？』蓋試之也。

Some Pharisees came and tested him by asking,“ Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?”

Some Pharisees came to test Jesus. They asked,“ Does the Law allow a man to divorce his wife?”

And Pharisees came up and in order to test him asked,“ Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?”

Some Pharisees came and tried to trap him with this question:“ Should a man be allowed to divorce his wife?”

Some Pharisees came to test him, asking,“ Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?”

And some Pharisees came up to Jesus, testing Him, and began questioning Him whether it was lawful for a man to divorce his wife.

The Pharisees came and asked Him,“ Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?” testing Him.

And there came unto him Pharisees, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? trying him.

And the Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away[ his] wife? tempting him.

Then some Pharisees came, and to test him they asked,“ Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?”

Pharisees came to him testing him, and asked him,“ Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?”

When He left there, the scribes and the Pharisees began to oppose Him fiercely and to cross-examine Him about many things;they were lying in wait for Him to trap Him in something He said.

I command the married— not I, but the Lord— a wife is not to leave her husband.But if she does leave, she must remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband— and a husband is not to leave his wife.

“ But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You lock up the kingdom of heaven from people. For you don’t go in, and you don’t allow those entering to go in.

They asked this to trap Him, in order that they might have evidence to accuse Him. Jesus stooped down and started writing on the ground with His finger.

So the chief priests and the Pharisees convened the Sanhedrin and said,“ What are we going to do since this man does many signs?

The Pharisees heard the crowd muttering these things about Him, so the chief priests and the Pharisees sent temple police to arrest Him.

Then He commanded them:“ Watch out! Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and the yeast of Herod.”

Then the disciples came up and told Him,“ Do You know that the Pharisees took offense when they heard this statement?”

But the Pharisees said,“ He drives out demons by the ruler of the demons!”

“ If he hates and divorces his wife,” says the Lord God of Israel,“ he covers his garment with injustice,” says the Lord of Hosts. Therefore, watch yourselves carefully, and do not act treacherously.

The chief priests and the Pharisees had given orders that if anyone knew where He was, he should report it so they could arrest Him.

But the Pharisees and their scribes were complaining to His disciples,“ Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?”

The Pharisees, who were lovers of money, were listening to all these things and scoffing at Him.

Have any of the rulers or Pharisees believed in Him?

Let us not test Christ as some of them did and were destroyed by snakes.

But the Lord said to him:“ Now you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside you are full of greed and evil.

Some Pharisees approached Him to test Him. They asked,“ Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife on any grounds?”

The Pharisees and Sadducees approached, and as a test, asked Him to show them a sign from heaven.

The Pharisees came out and began to argue with Him, demanding of Him a sign from heaven to test Him.

And one of them, an expert in the law, asked a question to test Him:

But since the Pharisees and experts in the law had not been baptized by him, they rejected the plan of God for themselves.)

“ It was also said, Whoever divorces his wife must give her a written notice of divorce.But I tell you, everyone who divorces his wife, except in a case of sexual immorality, causes her to commit adultery. And whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.

The scribes and Pharisees were watching Him closely, to see if He would heal on the Sabbath, so that they could find a charge against Him.
