Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”But when he heard this, he became very sorrowful, for he was very rich.And when Jesus saw that he became very sorrowful, He said,“ How hard it is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God!For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”And those who heard it said,“ Who then can be saved?”But He said,“ The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”Then Peter said,“ See, we have left all and followed You.”So He said to them,“ Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or parents or brothers or wife or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God,who shall not receive many times more in this present time, and in the age to come eternal life.”

Now behold, one came and said to Him,“ Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?”So He said to him,“ Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”He said to Him,“ Which ones?” Jesus said,“‘ You shall not murder,’‘ You shall not commit adultery,’‘ You shall not steal,’‘ You shall not bear false witness,’‘ Honor your father and your mother,’ and,‘ You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’”The young man said to Him,“ All these things I have kept from my youth. What do I still lack?”Jesus said to him,“ If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.Then Jesus said to His disciples,“ Assuredly, I say to you that it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”When His disciples heard it, they were greatly astonished, saying,“ Who then can be saved?”But Jesus looked at them and said to them,“ With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”Then Peter answered and said to Him,“ See, we have left all and followed You. Therefore what shall we have?”So Jesus said to them,“ Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.But many who are first will be last, and the last first.

eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality;

Now a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him,“ If You are willing, You can make me clean.”

You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me.

And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying,“ Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”

And when they had come to the multitude, a man came to Him, kneeling down to Him and saying,

Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles,“ Men and brethren, what shall we do?”

And he brought them out and said,“ Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”

Then she ran and came to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and said to them,“ They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid Him.”Peter therefore went out, and the other disciple, and were going to the tomb.So they both ran together, and the other disciple outran Peter and came to the tomb first.

This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him,“ Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.”

So they went out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring His disciples word.

Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.”Then they said to Him,“ What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?”

When Jesus saw that the people came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it,“ Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter him no more!”

And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”

“ So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God.For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

And this is the promise that He has promised us— eternal life.
