No one is good except God alone.You know the commandments,‘ Do not commit adultery, Do not murder, Do not steal, Do not give false testimony, Honor your father and mother.’ ”And he said,“ All these things I have kept since my youth.”Now when Jesus heard this, He said to him,“ One thing you still lack; sell all that you possess and distribute the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”But when he had heard these things, he became very sad, for he was extremely wealthy.And Jesus looked at him and said,“ How hard it is for those who are wealthy to enter the kingdom of God!For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God!”Those who heard Him said,“ And so who can be saved?”But He said,“ The things that are impossible with people are possible with God.”Peter said,“ Behold, we have left our own homes and followed You.”And He said to them,“ Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house, or wife, or brothers, or parents, or children for the sake of the kingdom of God,who will not receive many times as much at this time, and in the age to come, eternal life.”

And someone came to Him and said,“ Teacher, what good thing shall I do so that I may obtain eternal life?”And He said to him,“ Why are you asking Me about what is good? There is only One who is good; but if you want to enter life, keep the commandments.”Then he* said to Him,“ Which ones?” And Jesus said,“ You shall not commit murder; You shall not commit adultery; You shall not steal; You shall not give false testimony;Honor your father and mother; and You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”The young man* said to Him,“ All these I have kept; what am I still lacking?”Jesus said to him,“ If you want to be complete, go and sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”But when the young man heard this statement, he went away grieving; for he was one who owned much property.And Jesus said to His disciples,“ Truly I say to you, it will be hard for a rich person to enter the kingdom of heaven.And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.”When the disciples heard this, they were very astonished and said,“ Then who can be saved?”And looking at them, Jesus said to them,“ With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”Then Peter responded and said to Him,“ Behold, we have left everything and followed You; what then will there be for us?”And Jesus said to them,“ Truly I say to you, that you who have followed Me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man will sit on His glorious throne, you also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or farms on account of My name, will receive many times as much, and will inherit eternal life.But many who are first will be last; and the last, first.

to those who by perseverance in doing good seek glory, honor, and immortality, He will give eternal life;

And a man with leprosy* came to Jesus, imploring Him and kneeling down, and saying to Him,“ If You are willing, You can make me clean.”

You examine the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is those very Scriptures that testify about Me;

And behold, a lawyer stood up and put Him to the test, saying,“ Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”

They came and* said to Him,“ Teacher, we know that You are truthful and do not care what anyone thinks; for You are not partial to anyone, but You teach the way of God in truth. Is it permissible to pay a poll tax to Caesar, or not?

Now when Daniel learned that the document was signed, he entered his house( and in his roof chamber he had windows open toward Jerusalem); and he continued kneeling on his knees three times a day, praying and offering praise before his God, just as he had been doing previously.

“ Then the King will say to those on His right,‘ Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

but get up and enter the city, and it will be told to you what you must do.”

When they came to the crowd, a man came up to Jesus, falling on his knees before Him and saying,

Now when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles,“ Brothers, what are we to do?”

and after he brought them out, he said,“ Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”

So she* ran and* came to Simon Peter and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and* said to them,“ They have taken the Lord from the tomb, and we do not know where they have put Him.”So Peter and the other disciple left, and they were going to the tomb.The two were running together; and the other disciple ran ahead, faster than Peter, and came to the tomb first;

this man came to Jesus at night and said to Him,“ Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.”

And they left the tomb quickly with fear and great joy, and ran to report to His disciples.

Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that lasts for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you, for on Him the Father, God, has set His seal.”Therefore they said to Him,“ What are we to do, so that we may accomplish the works of God?”

When Jesus saw that a crowd was rapidly gathering, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it,“ You mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him and do not enter him again!”

For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.”

And now I entrust you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not in accordance with knowledge.For not knowing about God’s righteousness and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.For Christ is the end of the Law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

This is the promise which He Himself made to us: eternal life.
