耶穌又出去，到了海邊；全羣的人都到他那裏；他就教訓他們。

有許多不服約束、好談虛妄事、欺騙人的人，尤其是那些受過割禮的人，

他們拿了銀子，照所受指使的去作。於是這事就在猶太人中間傳揚開了、直到今日。

但關於他的傳言卻越發散布各處；許多羣眾都聚攏了來要聽，也要得治好他們的疾病。耶穌卻退去，到野地裏禱告。這些日子有一天、耶穌正教訓人；有法利賽人和教法師也在座。人從加利利各村莊、和猶太跟耶路撒冷來；主的能力與耶穌同在，使他能行醫。

耶穌同門徒退到海邊去；有屬於加利利的一大羣眾人跟着；

過了些日子，耶穌又進迦百農；人聽說他在家。就有許多人聚集，甚至於再容不下，連門前也沒有地方；耶穌就對他們講道。
