耶穌又出去，到了加利利海邊；眾人都到他面前來，他就教導他們。

有一大群人，因為看見了他在病人身上所行的神蹟，就跟隨了他。

他們卻出去，把他所作的事傳遍了那一帶。

因為有許多不受約束、好講空話和欺騙人的，尤其是那些守割禮的人，

士兵收了錢，就照著祭司長和長老的指使去作。這種說法直到今日還流傳在猶太人當中。

但他的名聲卻越發傳揚出去，成群的人來聚集，要聽道，並且要使他們的疾病痊愈。耶穌卻退到曠野去禱告。有一天，耶穌正在教導人，法利賽人和律法教師也坐在那裡，他們是從加利利和猶太各鄉村，並耶路撒冷來的；主的能力與他同在，叫他能醫病。

耶穌和門徒退到海邊去，一大群從加利利來的人跟著他；

過了些日子，耶穌再回到迦百農。一聽說他在屋子裡，許多人就都來聚集，甚至連門前都沒有地方了，耶穌就對他們講道。
