A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees,“ If you are willing, you can make me clean.”

A man who had a skin disease came to Jesus. On his knees he begged Jesus. He said,“ If you are willing to make me‘ clean,’ you can do it.”

And a leper came to him, imploring him, and kneeling said to him,“ If you will, you can make me clean.”

A man with leprosy came and knelt in front of Jesus, begging to be healed.“ If you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean,” he said.

Then a man with leprosy came to him and, on his knees, begged him,“ If you are willing, you can make me clean.”

And a man with leprosy* came to Jesus, imploring Him and kneeling down, and saying to Him,“ If You are willing, You can make me clean.”

Now a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him,“ If You are willing, You can make me clean.”

And there cometh to him a leper, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

Then a man with a serious skin disease came to Him and, on his knees, begged Him:“ If You are willing, You can make me clean.”

Now a leper came to him and fell to his knees, asking for help.“ If you are willing, you can make me clean,” he said.

A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said,“ Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.”Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man.“ I am willing,” he said.“ Be clean!” Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy.Then Jesus said to him,“ See that you don’t tell anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.” (niv)

While Jesus was in one of the towns, a man came along who was covered with leprosy. When he saw Jesus, he fell with his face to the ground and begged him,“ Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.”Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man.“ I am willing,” he said.“ Be clean!” And immediately the leprosy left him.Then Jesus ordered him,“ Don’t tell anyone, but go, show yourself to the priest and offer the sacrifices that Moses commanded for your cleansing, as a testimony to them.” (niv)

As Jesus started on his way, a man ran up to him and fell on his knees before him.“ Good teacher,” he asked,“ what must I do to inherit eternal life?” (niv)

The Lord said to Moses and Aaron,“ When anyone has a swelling or a rash or a shiny spot on their skin that may be a defiling skin disease, they must be brought to Aaron the priest or to one of his sons who is a priest.The priest is to examine the sore on the skin, and if the hair in the sore has turned white and the sore appears to be more than skin deep, it is a defiling skin disease. When the priest examines that person, he shall pronounce them ceremonially unclean.If the shiny spot on the skin is white but does not appear to be more than skin deep and the hair in it has not turned white, the priest is to isolate the affected person for seven days.On the seventh day the priest is to examine them, and if he sees that the sore is unchanged and has not spread in the skin, he is to isolate them for another seven days.On the seventh day the priest is to examine them again, and if the sore has faded and has not spread in the skin, the priest shall pronounce them clean; it is only a rash. They must wash their clothes, and they will be clean.But if the rash does spread in their skin after they have shown themselves to the priest to be pronounced clean, they must appear before the priest again.The priest is to examine that person, and if the rash has spread in the skin, he shall pronounce them unclean; it is a defiling skin disease.“ When anyone has a defiling skin disease, they must be brought to the priest.The priest is to examine them, and if there is a white swelling in the skin that has turned the hair white and if there is raw flesh in the swelling,it is a chronic skin disease and the priest shall pronounce them unclean. He is not to isolate them, because they are already unclean.“ If the disease breaks out all over their skin and, so far as the priest can see, it covers all the skin of the affected person from head to foot,the priest is to examine them, and if the disease has covered their whole body, he shall pronounce them clean. Since it has all turned white, they are clean.But whenever raw flesh appears on them, they will be unclean. (niv)

When they came to the crowd, a man approached Jesus and knelt before him. (niv)

Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will return to you at the appointed time next year, and Sarah will have a son.” (niv)

“ It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.”“‘ If you can’?” said Jesus.“ Everything is possible for one who believes.” (niv)

In cases of defiling skin diseases, be very careful to do exactly as the Levitical priests instruct you. You must follow carefully what I have commanded them.Remember what the Lord your God did to Miriam along the way after you came out of Egypt. (niv)

May his blood fall on the head of Joab and on his whole family! May Joab’s family never be without someone who has a running sore or leprosy or who leans on a crutch or who falls by the sword or who lacks food.” (niv)

When the cloud lifted from above the tent, Miriam’s skin was leprous— it became as white as snow. Aaron turned toward her and saw that she had a defiling skin disease,and he said to Moses,“ Please, my lord, I ask you not to hold against us the sin we have so foolishly committed.Do not let her be like a stillborn infant coming from its mother’s womb with its flesh half eaten away.”So Moses cried out to the Lord,“ Please, God, heal her!”The Lord replied to Moses,“ If her father had spit in her face, would she not have been in disgrace for seven days? Confine her outside the camp for seven days; after that she can be brought back.”So Miriam was confined outside the camp for seven days, and the people did not move on till she was brought back. As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distanceand called out in a loud voice,“ Jesus, Master, have pity on us!”When he saw them, he said,“ Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed.One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice.He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him— and he was a Samaritan.Jesus asked,“ Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine?Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?”Then he said to him,“ Rise and go; your faith has made you well.” (niv)

He withdrew about a stone’s throw beyond them, knelt down and prayed, (niv)

See how he is trying to pick a quarrel with me!”When Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had torn his robes, he sent him this message:“ Why have you torn your robes? Have the man come to me and he will know that there is a prophet in Israel.”So Naaman went with his horses and chariots and stopped at the door of Elisha’s house.Elisha sent a messenger to say to him,“ Go, wash yourself seven times in the Jordan, and your flesh will be restored and you will be cleansed.”But Naaman went away angry and said,“ I thought that he would surely come out to me and stand and call on the name of the Lord his God, wave his hand over the spot and cure me of my leprosy.Are not Abana and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Couldn’t I wash in them and be cleansed?” So he turned and went off in a rage.Naaman’s servants went to him and said,“ My father, if the prophet had told you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much more, then, when he tells you,‘ Wash and be cleansed’!”So he went down and dipped himself in the Jordan seven times, as the man of God had told him, and his flesh was restored and became clean like that of a young boy.Then Naaman and all his attendants went back to the man of God. He stood before him and said,“ Now I know that there is no God in all the world except in Israel. So please accept a gift from your servant.”The prophet answered,“ As surely as the Lord lives, whom I serve, I will not accept a thing.” And even though Naaman urged him, he refused.“ If you will not,” said Naaman,“ please let me, your servant, be given as much earth as a pair of mules can carry, for your servant will never again make burnt offerings and sacrifices to any other god but the Lord.But may the Lord forgive your servant for this one thing: When my master enters the temple of Rimmon to bow down and he is leaning on my arm and I have to bow there also— when I bow down in the temple of Rimmon, may the Lord forgive your servant for this.”“ Go in peace,” Elisha said. After Naaman had traveled some distance,Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, said to himself,“ My master was too easy on Naaman, this Aramean, by not accepting from him what he brought. As surely as the Lord lives, I will run after him and get something from him.”So Gehazi hurried after Naaman. When Naaman saw him running toward him, he got down from the chariot to meet him.“ Is everything all right?” he asked.“ Everything is all right,” Gehazi answered.“ My master sent me to say,‘ Two young men from the company of the prophets have just come to me from the hill country of Ephraim. Please give them a talent of silver and two sets of clothing.’”“ By all means, take two talents,” said Naaman. He urged Gehazi to accept them, and then tied up the two talents of silver in two bags, with two sets of clothing. He gave them to two of his servants, and they carried them ahead of Gehazi.When Gehazi came to the hill, he took the things from the servants and put them away in the house. He sent the men away and they left.When he went in and stood before his master, Elisha asked him,“ Where have you been, Gehazi?”“ Your servant didn’t go anywhere,” Gehazi answered.But Elisha said to him,“ Was not my spirit with you when the man got down from his chariot to meet you? Is this the time to take money or to accept clothes— or olive groves and vineyards, or flocks and herds, or male and female slaves?Naaman’s leprosy will cling to you and to your descendants forever.” Then Gehazi went from Elisha’s presence and his skin was leprous— it had become as white as snow. (niv)

Now there were four men with leprosy at the entrance of the city gate. They said to each other,“ Why stay here until we die? (niv)

The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor. (niv)

Now he had made a bronze platform, five cubits long, five cubits wide and three cubits high, and had placed it in the center of the outer court. He stood on the platform and then knelt down before the whole assembly of Israel and spread out his hands toward heaven. (niv)

The Lord afflicted the king with leprosy until the day he died, and he lived in a separate house. Jotham the king’s son had charge of the palace and governed the people of the land. (niv)
