But Jesus often withdrew to the wilderness for prayer.

While Jesus was here on earth, he offered prayers and pleadings, with a loud cry and tears, to the one who could rescue him from death. And God heard his prayers because of his deep reverence for God.

Early the next morning Jesus went out to an isolated place. The crowds searched everywhere for him, and when they finally found him, they begged him not to leave them.But he replied,“ I must preach the Good News of the Kingdom of God in other towns, too, because that is why I was sent.”

You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.

After sending them home, he went up into the hills by himself to pray. Night fell while he was there alone.
