Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light.

The people of Jerusalem say,“ Don’t laugh when we suffer, you enemies of ours! We have fallen. But we’ll get up. Even though we sit in the dark, the Lord will give us light.

The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.

Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: He is gracious, and merciful, and righteous.

Jehovah is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? Jehovah is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?

Seeing it is God, that said, Light shall shine out of darkness, who shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

For Jehovah God is a sun and a shield: Jehovah will give grace and glory; No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Such as sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, Being bound in affliction and iron,Because they rebelled against the words of God, And contemned the counsel of the Most High:Therefore he brought down their heart with labor; They fell down, and there was none to help.Then they cried unto Jehovah in their trouble, And he saved them out of their distresses.He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, And brake their bonds in sunder.Oh that men would praise Jehovah for his lovingkindness, And for his wonderful works to the children of men!

In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up its ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old;

Then mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her who said unto me, Where is Jehovah thy God? Mine eyes shall see my desire upon her; now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets.

For a righteous man falleth seven times, and riseth up again; But the wicked are overthrown by calamity.Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, And let not thy heart be glad when he is overthrown;Lest Jehovah see it, and it displease him, And he turn away his wrath from him.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, that ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.

But look not thou on the day of thy brother in the day of his disaster, and rejoice not over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction; neither speak proudly in the day of distress.

But unto you that fear my name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in its wings; and ye shall go forth, and gambol as calves of the stall.

And there shall be night no more; and they need no light of lamp, neither light of sun; for the Lord God shall give them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again; But the righteous dealeth graciously, and giveth.

Light is sown for the righteous, And gladness for the upright in heart.

But thou, O Jehovah, have mercy upon me, and raise me up, That I may requite them.By this I know that thou delightest in me, Because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, And settest me before thy face for ever.

Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of Jehovah is risen upon thee.For, behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the peoples; but Jehovah will arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.And nations shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

If I have rejoiced at the destruction of him that hated me, Or lifted up myself when evil found him

As thou didst rejoice over the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I do unto thee: thou shalt be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Edom, even all of it; and they shall know that I am Jehovah.

For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because thou hast clapped thy hands, and stamped with the feet, and rejoiced with all the despite of thy soul against the land of Israel;

Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For Jehovah upholdeth him with his hand.

Let not them that are mine enemies wrongfully rejoice over me; Neither let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause.

Rejoice and be glad, O daughter of Edom, that dwellest in the land of Uz: The cup shall pass through unto thee also; thou shalt be drunken, and shalt make thyself naked.The punishment of thine iniquity is accomplished, O daughter of Zion; he will no more carry thee away into captivity: He will visit thine iniquity, O daughter of Edom; he will uncover thy sins.

to open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive remission of sins and an inheritance among them that are sanctified by faith in me.

saying to them that are bound, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Show yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and on all bare heights shall be their pasture.

The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but Jehovah will be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.Thy sun shall no more go down, neither shall thy moon withdraw itself; for Jehovah will be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.

Judge me, O Jehovah my God, according to thy righteousness; And let them not rejoice over me.Let them not say in their heart, Aha, so would we have it: Let them not say, We have swallowed him up.Let them be put to shame and confounded together that rejoice at my hurt: Let them be clothed with shame and dishonor that magnify themselves against me.

But in mine adversity they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together: The abjects gathered themselves together against me, and I knew it not; They did tear me, and ceased not:Like the profane mockers in feasts, They gnashed upon me with their teeth.

Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; Lest mine adversaries rejoice when I am moved.But I have trusted in thy lovingkindness; My heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.I will sing unto Jehovah, Because he hath dealt bountifully with me.

O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of Jehovah.

The people that sat in darkness Saw a great light, And to them that sat in the region and shadow of death, To them did light spring up.

And they that dwell on the earth rejoice over them, and make merry; and they shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwell on the earth.And after the three days and a half the breath of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them that beheld them.And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they went up into heaven in the cloud; and their enemies beheld them.

Because of the tender mercy of our God, Whereby the dayspring from on high shall visit us,To shine upon them that sit in darkness and the shadow of death; To guide our feet into the way of peace.

And the city hath no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine upon it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the lamp thereof is the Lamb.

Who is among you that feareth Jehovah, that obeyeth the voice of his servant? he that walketh in darkness, and hath no light, let him trust in the name of Jehovah, and rely upon his God.
