But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.

But I will look to the Lord. I’ll put my trust in God my Savior. He will hear me.

As for me, I look to the Lord for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me.

But I will look to the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me.

The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!

Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.

Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls,yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will take joy in the God of my salvation.God, the Lord, is my strength; he makes my feet like the deer’s; he makes me tread on my high places. But they were filled with fury and discussed with one another what they might do to Jesus.In these days he went out to the mountain to pray, and all night he continued in prayer to God.

Now there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon, and this man was righteous and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him.And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.And he came in the Spirit into the temple, and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him according to the custom of the Law,he took him up in his arms and blessed God and said,“ Lord, now you are letting your servant depart in peace, according to your word;for my eyes have seen your salvationthat you have prepared in the presence of all peoples,a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and for glory to your people Israel.”

Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles.
