For a son dishonors his father, a daughter rises up against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law— a man’s enemies are the members of his own household.

Sons don’t honor their fathers. Daughters refuse to obey their mothers. Daughters- in- law are against their mothers- in- law. A man’s enemies are the members of his own family.

for the son treats the father with contempt, the daughter rises up against her mother, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; a man’s enemies are the men of his own house.

For the son despises his father. The daughter defies her mother. The daughter in law defies her mother in law. Your enemies are right in your own household!

我聽見了許多人的讒誹；四圍盡是恐怖！『告發他！我們要告發他！』我的一切盟友，那些等着瞧我顛沛的說：『或者他被誘騙，我們就能勝過他，而在他身上得報復。』

和你結約的人都欺騙了你，他們把你送走、到邊界；跟你和好的人制勝了你；和你一同喫飯的設下網羅陷害你；你心裏都毫無聰明。

嗤笑父親，藐視母親年老的，他的眼必被谿谷中的烏鴉啄出，給兀鷹之類所喫。

連我的盟友、我所倚靠的、喫過我飯的、也勾腳跟使我摔倒。

迦南的父親含看見自己的父親的下體，就告訴在外邊的兩個兄弟。於是閃和雅弗拿件方塊外披，搭在自己的肩膀上，倒退着走，去把他們父親的下體蓋上；他們的臉向外，沒有看見他們父親的下體。挪亞醒了酒，知道他小兒子向他所作的事，

因為連你的族弟兄和你父的家都以詭詐待你，連這些人都大聲追喊着你；他們雖向你說好話，你可不要信他們。』

有一種人咒詛父親，不給母親祝福感恩。

大衛又對亞比篩和眾臣僕說：『看哪，我親腹出的兒子尚且尋索我的性命，何況現在這便雅憫人呢？由他咒罵吧；因為這是永恆主吩咐他的。

押沙龍卻打發密使、在以色列各族派中說：『你們一聽見號角的聲音、就要說：「押沙龍在希伯崙作王了！」』和押沙龍一同去的有二百人、是從耶路撒冷被請的：這些人是天真無邪去的，並不知道甚麼事。押沙龍獻祭的時候、打發人去將大衛的參謀基羅人亞希多弗從他本城基羅請了來。於是謀叛的派勢強大起來；隨從押沙龍的人民也越來越多。

原來不是仇敵在辱罵我；若是，我還可以容忍；也不是恨我的人向我妄自尊大；若是，我還可以躲避他。乃竟是你、與我平等的、我的良友、我的知己。我們常常同作甜蜜的交談；我們在上帝殿中往往情投意合地同行。

耶穌回答說：『是同我蘸手在碗裏的、那人要把我送官。

你們竟要被父母、弟兄、親戚和朋友、送官；他們也必將你們中間幾個人害死；
