For a son dishonors his father, a daughter rises up against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law— a man’s enemies are the members of his own household.

Sons don’t honor their fathers. Daughters refuse to obey their mothers. Daughters- in- law are against their mothers- in- law. A man’s enemies are the members of his own family.

for the son treats the father with contempt, the daughter rises up against her mother, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; a man’s enemies are the men of his own house.

For the son despises his father. The daughter defies her mother. The daughter in law defies her mother in law. Your enemies are right in your own household!

Surely a son considers his father a fool, a daughter opposes her mother, and a daughter-in-law is against her mother-in-law; a man’s enemies are the men of his own household.

他們輕慢父母，壓迫寄居者，欺負孤兒寡婦。

我這話不是對你們每一個人說的，我知道我揀選了誰，但這是為了要應驗聖經上的話，『吃我飯的人用腳踢我。』

可是，你必不再居首位，因為你放縱情慾，如沸騰不止的水，你上了你父親的床，玷污了我的榻。

我聽見許多人竊竊私語：「看那個說『四面有恐怖』的人，我們告發他！告發他！」我的好友都盼著我滅亡，說：「或許他會受騙，那樣我們便能打倒他，一泄心頭之恨。」

你的盟友將你逐出家園；你的朋友欺騙你，戰勝你；你的知己設陷阱害你，你卻懵然不知。」

嘲笑父親、藐視母親教誨的，眼睛必被谷中的烏鴉啄出，被禿鷹吃掉。

連我所信賴、吃我飯的摯友也用腳踢我。

迦南的父親含看見他父親赤身露體，便去告訴外面的兩個弟兄。於是，閃和雅弗拿了一件衣服搭在肩上，倒退著走進帳篷，把衣服蓋在父親身上，他們背著臉不看父親赤裸的身體。挪亞酒醒後，知道了小兒子做的事，

你的弟兄和家人都背叛了你，與你作對。任他們甜言蜜語，你不要相信。

有一種人咒詛父親，不為母親祝福。

大衛對亞比篩和他所有臣僕說：「我的親生兒子尚且要取我的命，何況這個便雅憫人呢？由他去吧！因為這是耶和華的意思。

亞希多弗說：「你父親留下幾個妃嬪看守宮殿，你要跟她們同寢，叫所有的以色列人知道你與父親誓不兩立，這樣支持你的人會更堅定。」於是，他們便為押沙龍在殿頂蓋了一座帳篷，他就當著所有以色列人的面與父親的妃嬪同寢。那時，亞希多弗出的主意如同是來自上帝的話，大衛曾對他言聽計從，現在押沙龍也是一樣。

他派密使通知以色列各支派一聽見號角的響聲，便喊：「押沙龍在希伯崙做王了！」有二百人應邀隨同押沙龍一起從耶路撒冷去希伯崙，他們對內情一無所知。押沙龍獻祭的時候，還派人去把大衛的謀士亞希多弗從他的故鄉基羅請來。反叛的勢力大增，擁護押沙龍的民眾越來越多。

倘若是仇敵辱罵我，我還能忍受；倘若是恨我的人欺凌我，我還可以躲開。可是，竟然是你——我志同道合的夥伴，我的摯友！從前我們情誼深厚，與眾人同去上帝的殿。

祂說：「那和我一同在盤子裡蘸餅吃的就是要出賣我的人。

你們將被父母、弟兄、親戚、朋友出賣，你們有些人會被他們害死。

猶大隨即走到耶穌跟前，說：「老師，你好。」然後親吻耶穌。耶穌對他說：「朋友，你要做的事，快動手吧。」於是那些人上前，下手捉拿耶穌。

因為那時的人都自私自利、貪愛錢財、狂妄自誇、驕傲自負、說毀謗話、違背父母、忘恩負義、心不聖潔、冷漠無情、不願和解、好說讒言、毫無節制、蠻橫兇暴、不愛良善、
