非利士人之伯就之、曰、爾其誘之、察其大力由何而得、我如何可以獲勝、能束縛之、困苦相加、則我儕各以金給爾一千有百。大利拉謂參孫曰、爾之大力何由而得、人欲束縛爾、困苦爾、當用何術。參孫曰、如取樹之條七、鮮而未枯者、繫於我身、我即荏弱、無異常人。非利士伯、攜樹條七、鮮而未枯者予女、女以縛之。當斯時敵伏於室、女呼曰、參孫、非利士人攻爾。參孫遂斷樹條、與斷經火之麻縷無異。人莫知其力由何而得。大利拉謂參孫曰、爾何戲我、相欺實甚、今誠告我、何術可以縛爾。曰、如以未用之新索縛我、則我荏弱、無異常人。大利拉取新索縛之、呼曰、參孫、非利士人攻爾。時室中敵人伏焉。參孫即斷手上之索、若斷一縷。大利拉謂參孫曰、爾戲言以欺我、越至於今、當誠告我、何術可以縛爾。曰、以髮七綹、與緯同織、則可。女如言而製、以釘釘髮、呼曰、參孫、非利士人攻爾。參孫即寤、挈織器之釘及緯而去。女曰、爾之中心不與我相合、而尚言眷愛我乎。爾欺我者三。不以爾之大力何由而得告我。女日加促迫、參孫精神困憊、幾鄰於死。盡以心所藏告曰、或自生迄今、嘗離世故、奉事上帝、薙髮之刀、不加於首、如薙我髮、我力自廢、則荏弱無異常人。大利拉見其吐露衷懷、則遣人請非利士人伯至、曰、今彼以心所藏盡告於我、請爾復至。非利士人之伯至、攜金於手。女使參孫寢於懷、招人薙其髮七綹、遂加困苦、其力果廢。女呼曰、參孫、非利士人攻爾。即寤曰、我必脫此如昔。而不知耶和華已遺棄之矣。
