When my enemies see this, they will be covered with shame. They say to me,“ Where is the LORD your God?” I will gloat over them. Then they will be trampled down like mud in the streets.

我敵見之、必蒙羞恥、昔彼謂我曰、爾之上帝耶和華安在、彼必遭報、被踐若街衢之泥、為我目睹、

Then my enemy will see it and will be covered with shame, she who said to me,“ Where is the Lord your God?” My eyes will see her downfall; even now she will be trampled underfoot like mire in the streets.

Our enemies will see it too. And they will be put to shame. After all, they said to us,‘ Where is the Lord your God?’ But we will see them destroyed. Soon they will be stomped on like mud in the streets.”

Then my enemy will see, and shame will cover her who said to me,“ Where is the Lord your God?” My eyes will look upon her; now she will be trampled down like the mire of the streets.

Then my enemies will see that the Lord is on my side. They will be ashamed that they taunted me, saying,“ So where is the Lord— that God of yours?” With my own eyes I will see their downfall; they will be trampled like mud in the streets.

Then my enemy will see, and she will be covered with shame, the one who said to me,“ Where is the LORD your God?” My eyes will look at her in triumph; at that time she will be trampled like mud in the streets.

Then my enemy will see, And shame will cover her who said to me,“ Where is the Lord your God?” My eyes will look at her; At that time she will be trampled down Like mud of the streets.

Then she who is my enemy will see, And shame will cover her who said to me,“ Where is the Lord your God?” My eyes will see her; Now she will be trampled down Like mud in the streets.

Then mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her who said unto me, Where is Jehovah thy God? Mine eyes shall see my desire upon her; now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets.

Then my enemy will see, and she will be covered with shame, the one who said to me,“ Where is the Lord your God?” My eyes will look at her in triumph; at that time she will be trampled like mud in the streets.

Then[ she that is] mine enemy shall see[ it], and shame shall cover her which said unto me, Where is the LORD thy God? mine eyes shall behold her: now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets.

Then my enemy will see it, and shame will cover her who said to me, where is Yahweh your God? Then my enemy will see me and will cover her shame. Now she will be trodden down like the mire of the streets.

And they will be like warriors trampling the mud of the streets in battle. They will fight, for the LORD will be with them, and will defeat the enemy cavalry.

Let the priests, those who serve the LORD, weep from the vestibule all the way back to the altar. Let them say,“ Have pity, O LORD, on your people; please do not turn over your inheritance to be mocked, to become a proverb among the nations. Why should it be said among the peoples,“ Where is their God?”

‘ We are ashamed because we have been insulted. Our faces show our disgrace. For foreigners have invaded the holy rooms in the LORD’s temple.’

May those who want to harm me be totally embarrassed and ashamed! May those who arrogantly taunt me be covered with shame and humiliation!

My enemies’ taunts cut into me to the bone, as they say to me all day long,“ Where is your God?”

I grind them as fine as the dust of the ground; I crush them and stomp on them like clay in the streets.

I grind them as fine windblown dust; I beat them underfoot like clay in the streets.

Many nations have now assembled against you. They say,“ Jerusalem must be desecrated, so we can gloat over Zion!”

“ Sit silently! Go to a hiding place, O daughter of the Babylonians! Indeed, you will no longer be called‘ Queen of kingdoms.’I was angry at my people; I defiled my special possession and handed them over to you. You showed them no mercy; you even placed a very heavy burden on old people.You said,‘ I will rule forever as permanent queen!’ You did not think about these things; you did not consider how it would turn out.So now, listen to this, O one who lives so lavishly, who lives securely, who says to herself,‘ I am unique! No one can compare to me! I will never have to live as a widow; I will never lose my children.’Both of these will come upon you suddenly, in one day! You will lose your children and be widowed. You will be overwhelmed by these tragedies, despite your many incantations and your numerous amulets.

For the LORD’s power will make this mountain secure. Moab will be trampled down where it stands, as a heap of straw is trampled down in a manure pile.Moab will spread out its hands in the middle of it, just as a swimmer spreads his hands to swim; the LORD will bring down Moab’s pride as it spreads its hands.The fortified city( along with the very tops of your walls) he will knock down, he will bring it down, he will throw it down to the dusty ground.

Why should the nations say,“ Where is their God?” Before our very eyes may the shed blood of your servants be avenged among the nations!

My accusers will be covered with shame, and draped in humiliation as if it were a robe.

“ Look, I am making you like a sharp threshing sledge, new and double-edged. You will thresh the mountains and crush them; you will make the hills like straw.You will winnow them and the wind will blow them away; the wind will scatter them. You will rejoice in the LORD; you will boast in the Holy One of Israel.

“ Because you violently slaughtered your relatives, the people of Jacob, shame will cover you, and you will be destroyed forever.

( 2: 2) The watchmen of Nineveh shout:“ An enemy who will scatter you is marching out to attack you!”“ Guard the rampart! Watch the road! Prepare yourselves for battle! Muster your mighty strength!”For the LORD will restore the majesty of Jacob, as well as the majesty of Israel, though their enemies have plundered them and have destroyed their fields.The shields of his warriors are dyed red; the mighty soldiers are dressed in scarlet garments. The metal fittings of the chariots shine like fire on the day of battle; the soldiers brandish their spears.

Now if you are ready, when you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, trigon, harp, pipes, and all kinds of music, you must bow down and pay homage to the statue that I had made. If you don’t pay homage to it, you will immediately be thrown into the midst of the furnace of blazing fire. Now, who is that god who can rescue you from my power?”

The LORD who rules over all says,“ The people of Israel are oppressed. So too are the people of Judah. All those who took them captive are holding them prisoners. They refuse to set them free.But the one who will rescue them is strong. He is known as the LORD who rules over all. He will strongly champion their cause. As a result he will bring peace and rest to the earth, but trouble and turmoil to the people who inhabit Babylonia.

I cannot eat, I weep day and night; all day long they say to me,“ Where is your God?”

“ Tell King Hezekiah of Judah this:‘ Don’t let your God in whom you trust mislead you when he says,“ Jerusalem will not be handed over to the king of Assyria.”Certainly you have heard how the kings of Assyria have annihilated all lands. Do you really think you will be rescued?

He said,“ Throw her down!” So they threw her down, and when she hit the ground, her blood splattered against the wall and the horses, and Jehu drove his chariot over her.He went inside and had a meal. Then he said,“ Dispose of this accursed woman’s corpse. Bury her, for after all, she was a king’s daughter.”But when they went to bury her, they found nothing left but the skull, feet, and palms of the hands.When they went back and told him, he said,“ The LORD’s word through his servant, Elijah the Tishbite, has come to pass. He warned,‘ In the plot of land at Jezreel, dogs will devour Jezebel’s flesh.Jezebel’s corpse will be like manure on the surface of the ground in the plot of land at Jezreel. People will not be able to even recognize her.’”

The godly will rejoice when they see vengeance carried out; they will bathe their feet in the blood of the wicked.

You will trample on the wicked, for they will be like ashes under the soles of your feet on the day which I am preparing,” says the LORD who rules over all.

Your eyes will see it, and then you will say,‘ May the LORD be magnified even beyond the border of Israel!’”

Why are your clothes red? Why do you look like someone who has stomped on grapes in a vat?“ I have stomped grapes in the winepress all by myself; no one from the nations joined me. I stomped on them in my anger; I trampled them down in my rage. Their juice splashed on my garments, and stained all my clothes.

Indeed, the LORD knocks down those who live in a high place, he brings down an elevated town; he brings it down to the ground, he throws it down to the dust.It is trampled under foot by the feet of the oppressed, by the soles of the poor.”

But suddenly Babylonia will fall and be destroyed. Cry out in mourning over it! Get medicine for her wounds! Perhaps she can be healed!Foreigners living there will say,‘ We tried to heal her, but she could not be healed. Let’s leave Babylonia and each go back to his own country. For judgment on her will be vast in its proportions. It will be like it is piled up to heaven, stacked up into the clouds.’The exiles from Judah will say,‘ The LORD has brought about a great deliverance for us! Come on, let’s go and proclaim in Zion what the LORD our God has done!’

This is what your sovereign master, the LORD your God, says:“ Look, I have removed from your hand the cup of intoxicating wine, the goblet full of my anger. You will no longer have to drink it.I will put it into the hand of your tormentors who said to you,‘ Lie down, so we can walk over you.’ You made your back like the ground, and like the street for those who walked over you.”

He trusts in God– let God, if he wants to, deliver him now because he said,‘ I am God’s Son’!”

“ But I will repay Babylon and all who live in Babylonia for all the wicked things they did in Zion right before the eyes of you Judeans,” says the LORD.

( Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you saints and apostles and prophets, for God has pronounced judgment against her on your behalf!)

O daughter Babylon, soon to be devastated! How blessed will be the one who repays you for what you dished out to us!How blessed will be the one who grabs your babies and smashes them on a rock!

Why should the nations say,“ Where is their God?”

Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and spoke to me.“ Come,” he said,“ I will show you the condemnation and punishment of the great prostitute who sits on many waters,with whom the kings of the earth committed sexual immorality and the earth’s inhabitants got drunk with the wine of her immorality.”So he carried me away in the Spirit to a wilderness, and there I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was full of blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns.Now the woman was dressed in purple and scarlet clothing, and adorned with gold, precious stones, and pearls. She held in her hand a golden cup filled with detestable things and unclean things from her sexual immorality.On her forehead was written a name, a mystery:“ Babylon the Great, the Mother of prostitutes and of the detestable things of the earth.”I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the saints and the blood of those who testified to Jesus. I was greatly astounded when I saw her.But the angel said to me,“ Why are you astounded? I will interpret for you the mystery of the woman and of the beast with the seven heads and ten horns that carries her.

They will wear sackcloth, terror will cover them; shame will be on all their faces, and all of their heads will be shaved bald.
