Does the Lord take pleasure in thousands of rams, In ten thousand rivers of oil? Shall I give Him my firstborn for my wrongdoings, The fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?

耶和华岂喜悦千千的公羊，或是万万的油河吗？我岂可为自己的罪过献我的长子吗？为心中的罪恶献我身所生的吗？

耶和华岂喜悦千千的公羊，或是万万的油河吗？我岂可为自己的过犯献我的长子，为自己的罪恶献我所亲生的吗？”

耶和华岂喜悦千千的公羊，或是万万的油河吗？我岂可为自己的过犯献我的长子，为自己的罪恶献我所亲生的吗？”

耶和华会喜爱成千的公羊和万条油河吗？我要因过犯而献上自己的长子，因心中的罪恶而献上亲生的骨肉吗？

耶和华喜悦千千的公羊，或是万万的油河吗？为我的过犯，我可以献上我的长子吗？为我的罪恶，献上我亲生的孩子吗？

耶和華豈喜悅千千的公羊，或是萬萬的油河嗎？我豈可為自己的罪過獻我的長子嗎？為心中的罪惡獻我身所生的嗎？

耶和華豈喜悅千千的公羊，或是萬萬的油河嗎？我豈可為自己的過犯獻我的長子，為自己的罪惡獻我所親生的嗎？」

耶和華會喜愛成千的公羊和萬條油河嗎？我要因過犯而獻上自己的長子，因心中的罪惡而獻上親生的骨肉嗎？

難道永恆主還喜悅千千的公羊，或萬萬的油河麼？難道我可為我的過犯獻我的長子？為我的罪獻我身所生的果子麼？

耶和華豈悅牡羊千千、或油溪萬萬乎、我豈可因己過、獻我首生之子、緣我魂之罪、獻我身之果乎、

抑耶和華將以牡綿羊數千為悅、或以萬溪流油為悅、我當以初產之嬰孩、贖我愆尤、抑以親生之骨肉、贖我邪念乎。

獻數千牡綿羊、獻油多若萬河、豈主所悅乎、我當以初生之嬰孩、贖我愆尤、抑以親生之骨肉、親生之骨肉原文作我身之果贖我罪惡歟、

Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, with ten thousand rivers of olive oil? Shall I offer my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?

Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams? Will he take delight in 10,000 rivers of olive oil? Should we offer our oldest sons for the wrong things we’ve done? Should we sacrifice our own children to pay for our sins?”

Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, with ten thousands of rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?”

Should we offer him thousands of rams and ten thousand rivers of olive oil? Should we sacrifice our firstborn children to pay for our sins?

Would the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams or with ten thousand streams of oil? Should I give my firstborn for my transgression, the offspring of my body for my own sin?

will Jehovah be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall I give my first- born for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?

Would the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams or with ten thousand streams of oil? Should I give my firstborn for my transgression, the child of my body for my own sin?

Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams,[ or] with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall I give my firstborn[ for] my transgression, the fruit of my body[ for] the sin of my soul?

Will the LORD accept a thousand rams, or ten thousand streams of olive oil? Should I give him my firstborn child as payment for my rebellion, my offspring– my own flesh and blood– for my sin?

Will Yahweh be pleased with thousands of rams? With tens of thousands of rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my disobedience? The fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?

But he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, and he even made his son pass through the fire, in accordance with the abominations of the nations whom the Lord had driven out before the sons of Israel.

I will not take a bull from your house, Nor male goats from your folds.

Samuel said,“ Does the Lord have as much delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices As in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than a sacrifice, And to pay attention is better than the fat of rams.

They have built the high places of Topheth, which is in the Valley of Ben hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, which I did not command, and it did not come into My mind.

And he made his son pass through the fire, interpreted signs, practiced divination, and used mediums and spiritists. He did great evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking Him to anger.

He also defiled Topheth, which is in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, so that no one would make his son or his daughter pass through the fire for Molech.

For You do not delight in sacrifice, otherwise I would give it; You do not take pleasure in burnt offering.

Even Lebanon is not enough to burn, Nor its animals enough for a burnt offering.

For I desire loyalty rather than sacrifice, And the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings.

Then the king of Moab took his oldest son who was to reign in his place, and offered him as a burnt offering on the wall. And great anger came upon Israel, and they departed from him and returned to their own land.

You shall not give any of your children to offer them to Molech, nor shall you profane the name of your God; I am the Lord.

Even though you offer up to Me burnt offerings and your grain offerings, I will not accept them; And I will not even look at the peace offerings of your fattened oxen.

This is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel says:“ Add your burnt offerings to your sacrifices and eat flesh.For I did not speak to your fathers, or command them on the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings and sacrifices.

I have sent him back to you in person, that is, sending my very heart,

and have built the high places of Baal to burn their sons in the fire as burnt offerings to Baal, a thing which I did not command nor speak of, nor did it ever enter My mind;

“ What are your many sacrifices to Me?” Says the Lord.“ I have had enough of burnt offerings of rams And the fat of fattened cattle; And I take no pleasure in the blood of bulls, lambs, or goats.When you come to appear before Me, Who requires of you this trampling of My courtyards?Do not go on bringing your worthless offerings, Incense is an abomination to Me. New moon and Sabbath, the proclamation of an assembly— I cannot endure wrongdoing and the festive assembly.I hate your new moon festivals and your appointed feasts, They have become a burden to Me; I am tired of bearing them.So when you spread out your hands in prayer, I will hide My eyes from you; Yes, even though you offer many prayers, I will not be listening. Your hands are covered with blood.

“ Furthermore, you took your sons and daughters whom you had borne to Me and sacrificed them to idols to be devoured. Were your obscene practices a trivial matter?You slaughtered My children and offered them to idols by making them pass through the fire.

When my steps were bathed in cream, And the rock poured out streams of oil for me!

then whatever comes out the doors of my house to meet me when I return safely from the sons of Ammon, it shall be the Lord’s, and I will offer it up as a burnt offering.”

He sits in the lurking places of the villages; He kills the innocent in the secret places; His eyes surreptitiously watch for the unfortunate.He lurks in secret like a lion in his lair; He lurks to catch the needy; He catches the needy when he pulls him into his net.Then he crushes the needy one, who cowers; And unfortunate people fall by his mighty power.He says to himself,“ God has forgotten; He has hidden His face; He will never see it.”Arise, Lord; God, lift up Your hand. Do not forget the humble.Why has the wicked treated God disrespectfully? He has said to himself,“ You will not require an account.”

And at the end of two months she returned to her father, who did to her what he had vowed; and she had no relations with a man. And it became a custom in Israel,

For they have committed adultery, and blood is on their hands. So they have committed adultery with their idols, and even made their sons, whom they bore to Me, pass through the fire to them as food.
