我的百姓啊，你们当追念摩押王巴勒所设的谋和比珥的儿子巴兰回答他的话，并你们从什亭到吉甲所遇见的事，好使你们知道耶和华公义的作为。”

我民歟、爾其憶摩押王巴勒所謀、及比珥子巴蘭所以應之、且憶自什亭至吉甲、所遇之事、俾爾知耶和華公義之行為、○

我民歟、當追念摩押王巴勒所設之謀、與比珥子巴蘭所對之之言、亦當追念自示亭至吉甲所遇之事、則可知主之恩慈、○

My people, remember what Balak king of Moab plotted and what Balaam son of Beor answered. Remember your journey from Shittim to Gilgal, that you may know the righteous acts of the Lord.”

Remember how Balak, the king of Moab, planned to put a curse on your people. But Balaam, the son of Beor, gave them a blessing instead. Remember their journey from Shittim to Gilgal. I want you to know that I always do what is right.”

O my people, remember what Balak king of Moab devised, and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him, and what happened from Shittim to Gilgal, that you may know the righteous acts of the Lord.”

以色列族居失亭、淫於摩押女、

耶和華諭約書亞曰、昔埃及人、凌辱爾曹、今我為汝洒恥、故名地曰吉甲、至今其名尚存。○以色列族建營於吉甲、至十四日夕、守逾越節禮、於耶利哥平原。

其聲如人於引水之處、分其所得而懽呼。耶和華民復入邑門、故頌耶和華之義、以色列諸長之義。

正月十日、民自約但河出、建營於耶利哥東之吉甲。

時摩押王、西撥子巴勒攻以色列族、召庇耳子巴蘭、使咒詛爾。我不許巴蘭咒詛、反使祝福、故爾得脫。

誠慤之人、敬愛乎爾、願爾恆施以仁兮、

更殺米田五王、以未、哩金、蘇耳、戶耳、哩巴、及庇耳、子巴蘭、均殲以刃。

吾心之神、惟耶和華是頌、譽其聖名兮、吾心頌美耶和華、念其恩澤弗忘兮、

屆此節期、毋食酵、歷七日、必食無酵餅、以識艱苦、昔爾出埃及、惟恐不速、故當憶是事、畢生勿忘。

沿河建營、自伯耶西末起、至摩押平原、亞伯示亭止。○

離正道而迷罔、從破朔子巴蘭之行、巴蘭貪不義之利、

彼從巴蘭之言、誘以色列族、逆耶和華、服役於比耳、故耶和華降災於會眾。

爾也大著仁慈、以手援予、不可計數、故予終日、讚美不輟兮、主耶和華兮、予惟爾力是恃。毅然而往、稱爾仁義而已、

汝今侍立於耶和華前、我將告爾、耶和華以恩賚於爾祖、爰及爾曹。

蓋上帝使耶穌流血、為挽回之祭、凡信之者、得蒙赦宥、上帝寛容、往世之罪以免、鞫人之義以彰、即今日亦彰、以稱信耶穌者為義、而上帝無不義也、

所施異跡、可記憶之、耶和華矜憫為懷兮、

以色列族遄征、張幕於摩押平原、約但東、耶利哥相對之所。摩押人與西撥子、巴勒、見以色列族、戮亞摩哩人、知其族眾多、則懼、中心不樂、

宜思爾族為異邦人、惟外貌受人割禮者、議爾未嘗受割、

當憶爾上帝耶和華以能賜爾、俾爾致富、以踐所許爾祖之盟約、即以今日所有者為證、

爾之前事、當憶弗忘、爾在曠野、干爾上帝耶和華震怒、自出埃及之日、越至於此、違逆耶和華。

惟爾有可責數事、昔巴蘭慫恿巴勒、誘以色列人、食祭偶之物、且行淫、爾中有人從之、

巴勒曰、爾來、我引爾至他所、庶幾上帝使爾於彼、咒詛其族。

因昔爾出埃及、彼不以餅以水、迎饋其師、亦因以金賂庇耳子巴蘭、俾自米所波大米之比奪至、以咒詛爾故也。惟爾上帝耶和華愛爾、故不聽巴蘭、乃變詛為祝。

上帝兮、爾之仁義、高不可及、爾之經綸、大而莫名、誰能與爾比儗兮、

耶和華兮、使余活潑、以彰爾仁慈、救我於患難、以踐爾前言兮、

爾當憶爾、上帝耶和華、導爾於野、歷四十年、使爾自卑、以試爾心、使知果守其誡與否。

巴勒曰、請偕我至他所、勿觀其全營、乃窺其一隅、庶爾可加詛焉。乃導至鎖腓野、比士迦山巔、爰築壇七、各獻牛羊、

列王諸地、悉為約書亞一時所取、蓋其上帝耶和華、助以色列族以戰。約書亞遂率以色列眾歸吉甲營。

彼行該隱之途、以其貪利、故謬則從巴蘭、逆則效哥喇、烏能弗敗、

詰旦、巴勒引巴蘭至巴力崇邱、使觀以色列族營之四隅。
