You have observed the statutes of Omri and all the practices of Ahab’s house; you have followed their traditions. Therefore I will give you over to ruin and your people to derision; you will bear the scorn of the nations.”

You have followed the evil practices of King Omri of Israel. You have done what the family of King Ahab did. You have followed their bad example. So I will let you be destroyed. Others will make fun of you. The nations will laugh at you.”

You keep only the laws of evil King Omri; you follow only the example of wicked King Ahab! Therefore, I will make an example of you, bringing you to complete ruin. You will be treated with contempt, mocked by all who see you.”

異邦人入耶和華室之聖所、我聞此辱、羞慚滿面、

惟彼不從、不傾耳以聽、乃行己謀、徇其惡心之剛愎、退卻不前、

使我為辱於鄰國、四周之人譏刺姍笑兮、

暗利行耶和華所惡、較前王尤甚、循尼八子耶羅波安之道、干其陷以色列人之罪、且事虛無、激以色列上帝耶和華之怒、暗利其餘事蹟、及其所著之勇力、俱載於以色列列王紀、暗利與列祖偕眠、葬於撒瑪利亞、子亞哈嗣位、○猶大王亞撒三十八年、暗利子亞哈即位、在撒瑪利亞為以色列王、歷二十二年、行耶和華所惡、較前王尤甚、循尼八子耶羅波安之道、以為細事、乃娶西頓王謁巴力女耶洗別為后、從而服事崇拜巴力、在撒瑪利亞建巴力廟、為之築壇於廟中、亦作木偶、亞哈所行、激以色列上帝耶和華之怒、較以色列前王尤甚、

滅絕死亡、爰及世世、主耶和華必拭眾面之淚、去其民之辱於天下、耶和華言之矣、○

惡人之謀弗從、罪人之途弗履、侮慢者之位弗居、斯人其有福兮、

惟我民忘我、焚香於虛無之物、蹶於故轍、致行未築之路、其地成為怪異、被人嗤笑、凡過之者、必駭異而搖首、

導民者誘入迷途、受導者淪胥以亡、

乃循以色列諸王之道、並使其子經火、效異邦可憎之惡行、即耶和華於以色列人前、所逐諸族之事、

耶和華歟、憶我所遭、鑒我之辱兮、

復建其父希西家所毀之崇邱、為巴力建壇、作木偶、效以色列王亞哈所為、又崇拜天象、而奉事之、

迨彼安居故土、無人使之恐怖、必因干罪於我、懷慚負咎、

蓋彼眾棄我、焚香於他神、以其手所為、激我之怒、故我洩忿於此而不止、

昔耶洗別滅耶和華諸先知、俄巴底匿先知百人於穴、每穴五十人、以餅與水供之、

此室雖高、凡過之者、必駭異而嗤笑曰、耶和華曷如是待此地此室乎、

主歟、願依爾仁義、使爾忿怒、轉離爾邑耶路撒冷、即爾聖山、今因我儕之罪、及我列祖之愆、耶路撒冷與爾民、為四周之人所辱、

又當告斯民曰、耶和華云、我以生道死道、陳於爾前、凡居此邑者、必亡於鋒刃饑饉疫癘、惟出而歸圍爾之迦勒底人者、必得生存、獲其生命、如獲掠物、

故耶和華之怒、及於猶大與耶路撒冷、使之飄搖、令人驚駭嗤笑、如爾目擊、因之我列祖仆於刃、我妻孥為俘囚、

彼諭我曰、人子歟、爾見此乎、猶大家在此行可惡之事、豈細故哉、致使斯土充斥強暴、復激我怒、置樹枝於其鼻、故我必以怒待之、我目不顧惜之、不加矜憫、彼雖大聲呼於我耳、猶不聽之、

以法蓮甘從虛妄、是以受壓制、被屈抑、

然我有所責爾者、以爾容自稱先知之婦耶洗別、彼誨我諸僕、誘之行淫、且食祭像之物、

我必遣召北方諸族、及我僕巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、導之以攻斯土、與其居民、暨四周諸國、我必滅之、使之令人駭異、為人嗤笑、永久荒蕪、耶和華言之矣、
