暗利王之法度、爾乃恪守焉、亞哈家之愆尤、爾反則傚、與之同謀焉、故我必使爾邑荒蕪、人作怨恨之聲、昔爾為我民、後必為眾戮辱焉。

You have observed the statutes of Omri and all the practices of Ahab’s house; you have followed their traditions. Therefore I will give you over to ruin and your people to derision; you will bear the scorn of the nations.”

You have followed the evil practices of King Omri of Israel. You have done what the family of King Ahab did. You have followed their bad example. So I will let you be destroyed. Others will make fun of you. The nations will laugh at you.”

For you have kept the statutes of Omri, and all the works of the house of Ahab; and you have walked in their counsels, that I may make you a desolation, and your inhabitants a hissing; so you shall bear the scorn of my people.”

You keep only the laws of evil King Omri; you follow only the example of wicked King Ahab! Therefore, I will make an example of you, bringing you to complete ruin. You will be treated with contempt, mocked by all who see you.”

你們說巴比倫人闖入了耶和華殿的聖所，使你們蒙受恥辱，滿面羞愧。

他們卻掩耳不聽，一意孤行，任意行惡，越來越壞。

你使我們遭四鄰辱罵，被周圍人譏諷、嘲笑。

從來沒有人像亞哈那樣受妻子耶洗別唆使，一心做耶和華視為惡的事。他像被耶和華驅逐的亞摩利人一樣祭拜神像，行為可憎。

我必摧毀這城，使它令人驚懼、嗤笑，它的滿目瘡痍必令路人驚懼、嗤笑。

暗利做耶和華視為惡的事，比以前的諸王更壞。他步尼八的兒子耶羅波安的後塵，使以色列人陷入罪中，祭拜假神，惹以色列的上帝耶和華發怒。暗利其他的事及其一切所作所為都記在以色列的列王史上。暗利與祖先同眠後葬在撒瑪利亞，他兒子亞哈繼位。亞撒做猶大王第三十八年，暗利的兒子亞哈登基做以色列王，他在撒瑪利亞執政二十二年。暗利的兒子亞哈做耶和華視為惡的事，比以前的諸王更壞。他不但步尼八的兒子耶羅波安的後塵，還娶了西頓王葉巴力的女兒耶洗別為妻，供奉、祭拜巴力。他在撒瑪利亞為巴力建廟，在廟裡為巴力設立祭壇。他還造了亞舍拉神像，所作所為比先前諸王更惹以色列的上帝耶和華發怒。

祂必永遠吞滅死亡。主耶和華必擦去各人臉上的眼淚，從世上除掉祂子民的羞辱。這是耶和華說的。

不從惡人的計謀，不與罪人為伍，不和輕慢上帝的人同流合污，只喜愛耶和華的律法，晝夜默誦，這樣的人有福了！

然而，我的子民卻把我拋諸腦後，向虛無的神明燒香，偏離古道，在歧途上絆絆跌跌。因此，他們的土地必荒涼，永遠遭人嗤笑，經過此地的人無不驚懼，搖頭歎息。

這些帶領者使百姓步入歧途、走向滅亡。

反而步以色列諸王的後塵，效法耶和華在以色列人面前趕走的外族人的可憎行徑，把自己的兒子焚燒獻作祭物。

耶和華啊，求你顧念我們的遭遇，看看我們所受的恥辱！

他重建他父親希西迦拆毀的邱壇，效法以色列王亞哈為巴力築造祭壇，製造亞舍拉神像，並且祭拜和供奉天上的萬象。

當他們在故土安居，沒有人來威脅他們的時候，他們就會忘記自己所有的羞辱和得罪我的惡事。

因為他們背棄我，給別的神明燒香，製造偶像惹我發怒，所以我的怒火要在這地方燃燒，絕不止息。』

這殿雖然宏偉，但將來經過的人必驚訝，譏笑說，『耶和華為什麼這樣對待這地方和這殿呢？』

主啊，你一向公義，求你不要向你的耶路撒冷城——你的聖山發烈怒。由於我們的罪惡和我們祖先的過犯，耶路撒冷和你的子民成了四圍鄰人嘲諷的對象。

「耶利米啊，你要告訴百姓，『耶和華說，看啊，我把生命之路和死亡之路擺在你們面前，留在這城裡的必死於戰爭、饑荒和瘟疫，出城向迦勒底人投降的必保全性命、逃過一死。

因此，耶和華的烈怒臨到猶大和耶路撒冷，使他們的遭遇令人恐懼、震驚、嗤笑，正如你們親眼所見的。所以我們的祖先死在刀下，我們的妻兒也被擄去。

祂又對我說：「人子啊，你看見了嗎？猶大人的這些可憎行徑還算小事嗎？他們到處行殘暴之事，再三惹我發怒，手拿樹枝舉向鼻前祭拜偶像。因此，我必憤怒地對待他們，我必不顧惜他們，也不憐憫他們，即使他們大聲向我呼求，我也不聽。」

以法蓮因甘願追隨偶像而受欺壓，被審判壓碎。

可是有一件事我要責備你，就是你容許那自稱是先知的婦人耶洗別教導我的眾奴僕，引誘他們淫亂、吃祭過偶像的食物。

我要召集北方各族和我的僕人巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒，去攻擊這片土地和其中的居民以及周圍各國。我要徹底毀滅他們，使他們的下場很可怕、令人嗤笑、土地永遠荒涼。這是耶和華說的。
