Am I still to forget your ill- gotten treasures, you wicked house, and the short ephah, which is accursed?

You sinful people, should I forget that you got your treasures by stealing them? You use dishonest measures to cheat others. I have placed a curse on that practice.

Can I forget any longer the treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and the scant measure that is accursed?

What shall I say about the homes of the wicked filled with treasures gained by cheating? What about the disgusting practice of measuring out grain with dishonest measures?

Are there still the treasures of wickedness and the accursed short measure in the house of the wicked?

Are there yet the treasures of wickedness In the house of the wicked, And the short measure that is an abomination?

Are there yet treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and a scant measure that is abominable?

“ I will not overlook, O sinful house, the dishonest gain you have hoarded away, or the smaller-than-standard measure I hate so much.

But they do not know how to do what is right,” declares the Lord,“ these who store up violence and devastation in their citadels.”

saying,“ When will the new moon be over, So that we may sell grain; And the Sabbath, so that we may open the wheat market, To make the ephah smaller and the shekel bigger, And to cheat with dishonest scales,So as to buy the helpless for money, And the needy for a pair of sandals, And that we may sell the refuse of the wheat?”

For wicked people are found among My people, They watch like fowlers lying in wait; They set a trap, They catch people.Like a cage full of birds, So their houses are full of deceit; Therefore they have become great and rich.

Differing weights and differing measures, Both of them are abominable to the Lord.

A false balance is an abomination to the Lord, But a just weight is His delight.

‘ You shall do no wrong in judgment, in measurement of weight, or volume.You shall have accurate balances, accurate weights, an accurate ephah, and an accurate hin; I am the Lord your God, who brought you out from the land of Egypt.

The acquisition of treasures by a lying tongue Is a fleeting vapor, the pursuit of death.

“ You shall not have in your bag differing weights, a large and a small.You shall not have in your house differing measures, a large and a small.You shall have a correct and honest weight; you shall have a correct and honest measure, so that your days may be prolonged in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.For everyone who does these things, everyone who acts unjustly is an abomination to the Lord your God.

Naaman said,“ Be sure to take two talents.” And he urged him, and tied up two talents of silver in two bags with two changes of clothes, and gave them to two of his servants; and they carried them before him.When he came to the hill, he took them from their hand and deposited them in the house, and he sent the men away, and they departed.

Differing weights are an abomination to the Lord, And a false scale is not good.

A merchant, in whose hands are fraudulent balances, Loves to exploit.And Ephraim said,“ I have certainly become rich, I have found wealth for myself; In all my labors they will find in me No wrongdoing, which would be sin.”

Come now, you rich people, weep and howl for your miseries which are coming upon you.Your riches have rotted and your garments have become moth eaten.Your gold and your silver have corroded, and their corrosion will serve as a testimony against you and will consume your flesh like fire. It is in the last days that you have stored up your treasure!Behold, the pay of the laborers who mowed your fields, and which has been withheld by you, cries out against you; and the outcry of those who did the harvesting has reached the ears of the Lord of armies.

Ill gotten gains do not benefit, But righteousness rescues from death.
