“ But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.”

The Lord says,“ Bethlehem Ephrathah, you might not be an important town in the nation of Judah. But out of you will come for me a ruler over Israel. His family line goes back to the early years of your nation. It goes all the way back to days of long ago.”

But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel, whose coming forth is from of old, from ancient days.

But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, are only a small village among all the people of Judah. Yet a ruler of Israel, whose origins are in the distant past, will come from you on my behalf.

Bethlehem Ephrathah, you are small among the clans of Judah; one will come from you to be ruler over Israel for me. His origin is from antiquity, from ancient times.

But as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Too little to be among the clans of Judah, From you One will come forth for Me to be ruler in Israel. His times of coming forth are from long ago, From the days of eternity.”

“ But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Though you are little among the thousands of Judah, Yet out of you shall come forth to Me The One to be Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth are from of old, From everlasting.”

But thou, Beth- lehem Ephrathah, which art little to be among the thousands of Judah, out of thee shall one come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth are from of old, from everlasting.

Bethlehem Ephrathah, you are small among the clans of Judah; One will come from you to be ruler over Israel for Me. His origin is from antiquity, from eternity.

But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah,[ though] thou be little among the thousands of Judah,[ yet] out of thee shall he come forth unto me[ that is] to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth[ have been] from of old, from everlasting.

( 5: 1) As for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, seemingly insignificant among the clans of Judah– from you a king will emerge who will rule over Israel on my behalf, one whose origins are in the distant past.

‘ You Bethlehem, land of Judah, are in no way least among the princes of Judah: for out of you shall come a governor, who shall shepherd my people, Israel.’”

Hasn’t the Scripture said that the Christ comes of the offspring of David, and from Bethlehem, the village where David was?”

Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion! Shout, daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King comes to you! He is righteous, and having salvation; lowly, and riding on a donkey, even on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

For a child is born to us. A son is given to us; and the government will be on his shoulders. His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.Of the increase of his government and of peace there shall be no end, on David’s throne, and on his kingdom, to establish it, and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from that time on, even forever. The zeal of Yahweh of Armies will perform this.

Behold, you will conceive in your womb, and give birth to a son, and will call his name‘ Jesus.’He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father, David,and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever. There will be no end to his Kingdom.”

A shoot will come out of the stock of Jesse, and a branch out of his roots will bear fruit.

Before the mountains were born, before you had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, you are God.

Now David was the son of that Ephrathite of Bethlehem Judah, whose name was Jesse; and he had eight sons. The man was an elderly old man in the days of Saul.

“ The Lord Yahweh says:‘ I will also take some of the lofty top of the cedar, and will plant it. I will crop off from the topmost of its young twigs a tender one, and I will plant it on a high and lofty mountain.I will plant it in the mountain of the height of Israel; and it will produce boughs, and bear fruit, and be a good cedar. Birds of every kind will dwell in the shade of its branches.All the trees of the field will know that I, Yahweh, have brought down the high tree, have exalted the low tree, have dried up the green tree, and have made the dry tree flourish.“‘ I, Yahweh, have spoken and have done it.’”

The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until he comes to whom it belongs. To him will the obedience of the peoples be.

Rachel died, and was buried on the way to Ephrath( also called Bethlehem).

As for me, when I came from Paddan, Rachel died beside me in the land of Canaan on the way, when there was still some distance to come to Ephrath, and I buried her there on the way to Ephrath( also called Bethlehem).”

Jesus came to them and spoke to them, saying,“ All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.

All the people who were in the gate, and the elders, said,“ We are witnesses. May Yahweh make the woman who has come into your house like Rachel and like Leah, which both built the house of Israel; and treat you worthily in Ephrathah, and be famous in Bethlehem.

For Judah prevailed above his brothers, and from him came the prince; but the birthright was Joseph’s)—

Penuel was the father of Gedor and Ezer the father of Hushah. These are the sons of Hur, the firstborn of Ephrathah, the father of Bethlehem.

These were the sons of Caleb, the son of Hur, the firstborn of Ephrathah: Shobal the father of Kiriath Jearim,Salma the father of Bethlehem, and Hareph the father of Beth Gader.

Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to David’s city, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David;to enroll himself with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him as wife, being pregnant.While they were there, the day had come for her to give birth.She gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him in bands of cloth, and laid him in a feeding trough, because there was no room for them in the inn.

“ To the angel of the assembly in Smyrna write:“ The first and the last, who was dead, and has come to life says these things:

He is before all things, and in him all things are held together.

saying,“ What you see, write in a book and send to the seven assemblies: to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.”I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. Having turned, I saw seven golden lamp stands.And among the lamp stands was one like a son of man, clothed with a robe reaching down to his feet, and with a golden sash around his chest.His head and his hair were white as white wool, like snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire.His feet were like burnished brass, as if it had been refined in a furnace. His voice was like the voice of many waters.He had seven stars in his right hand. Out of his mouth proceeded a sharp two- edged sword. His face was like the sun shining at its brightest.When I saw him, I fell at his feet like a dead man. He laid his right hand on me, saying,“ Don’t be afraid. I am the first and the last,and the Living one. I was dead, and behold, I am alive forever and ever. Amen. I have the keys of Death and of Hades.

So I took the heads of your tribes, wise and respected men, and made them heads over you, captains of thousands, captains of hundreds, captains of fifties, captains of tens, and officers, according to your tribes.

That which was from the beginning, that which we have heard, that which we have seen with our eyes, that which we saw, and our hands touched, concerning the Word of life

An inscription was also written over him in letters of Greek, Latin, and Hebrew:“ THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.”

“ Yahweh possessed me in the beginning of his work, before his deeds of old.I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, before the earth existed.

But you have today rejected your God, who himself saves you out of all your calamities and your distresses; and you have said to him,‘ No! Set a king over us.’ Now therefore present yourselves before Yahweh by your tribes, and by your thousands.”

He has on his garment and on his thigh a name written,“ KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”

Their prince will be one of them, and their ruler will proceed from among them. I will cause him to draw near, and he will approach me; for who is he who has had boldness to approach me?” says Yahweh.

Of old, you laid the foundation of the earth. The heavens are the work of your hands.They will perish, but you will endure. Yes, all of them will wear out like a garment. You will change them like a cloak, and they will be changed.But you are the same. Your years will have no end.

I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel. One king will be king to them all. They will no longer be two nations. They won’t be divided into two kingdoms any more at all.They won’t defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions; but I will save them out of all their dwelling places, in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them. So they will be my people, and I will be their God.“‘“ My servant David will be king over them. They all will have one shepherd. They will also walk in my ordinances, and observe my statutes, and do them.They will dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob my servant, in which your fathers lived. They will dwell therein, they, and their children, and their children’s children, forever. David my servant will be their prince forever.

Moses chose able men out of all Israel, and made them heads over the people, rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens.

He will appoint them to him for captains of thousands, and captains of fifties; and he will assign some to plow his ground, and to reap his harvest, and to make his instruments of war, and the instruments of his chariots.

They began to accuse him, saying,“ We found this man perverting the nation, forbidding paying taxes to Caesar, and saying that he himself is Christ, a king.”

In that day I will raise up the tent of David who is fallen, and close up its breaches, and I will raise up its ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old;

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

but God chose the foolish things of the world that he might put to shame those who are wise. God chose the weak things of the world that he might put to shame the things that are strong.God chose the lowly things of the world, and the things that are despised, and the things that don’t exist, that he might bring to nothing the things that exist,

For he grew up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground. He has no good looks or majesty. When we see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

See therefore, and take knowledge of all the lurking places where he hides himself, and come again to me with certainty, and I will go with you. It shall happen, if he is in the land, that I will search him out among all the thousands of Judah.”

For it is evident that our Lord has sprung out of Judah, about which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood.

Behold, we heard of it in Ephrathah. We found it in the field of Jaar:

and bring these ten cheeses to the captain of their thousand, and see how your brothers are doing, and bring back news.”

The sons of Salma: Bethlehem, the Netophathites, Atroth Beth Joab, and half of the Manahathites, the Zorites.

Now it was the Preparation Day of the Passover, at about the sixth hour. He said to the Jews,“ Behold, your King!”They cried out,“ Away with him! Away with him! Crucify him!” Pilate said to them,“ Shall I crucify your King?” The chief priests answered,“ We have no king but Caesar!”So then he delivered him to them to be crucified. So they took Jesus and led him away.He went out, bearing his cross, to the place called“ The Place of a Skull”, which is called in Hebrew,“ Golgotha”,where they crucified him, and with him two others, on either side one, and Jesus in the middle.Pilate wrote a title also, and put it on the cross. There was written,“ JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS.”Therefore many of the Jews read this title, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, in Latin, and in Greek.The chief priests of the Jews therefore said to Pilate,“ Don’t write,‘ The King of the Jews,’ but,‘ he said,“ I am King of the Jews.”’”Pilate answered,“ What I have written, I have written.”

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.The same was in the beginning with God.All things were made through him. Without him, nothing was made that has been made.

Moreover you shall provide out of all the people able men which fear God: men of truth, hating unjust gain; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens.

So I went, and hid it by the Euphrates, as Yahweh commanded me.After many days, Yahweh said to me,“ Arise, go to the Euphrates, and take the belt from there, which I commanded you to hide there.”

I will set up one shepherd over them, and he will feed them, even my servant David. He will feed them, and he will be their shepherd.I, Yahweh, will be their God, and my servant David prince among them. I, Yahweh, have spoken it.

He said to me,“ I have become the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give freely to him who is thirsty from the spring of the water of life.
