现在，你为何大声呼喊呢？你中间没有君王，你的谋士灭绝，以致疼痛抓住你，如临产的妇人吗？

现在你为何大声哭喊？是因为你没有王吗？难道你的谋士都死了吗，以致你像分娩的妇人一样痛苦不堪？

现在你为什么大声呼喊？难道你们中间没有君王吗？或是你的谋士灭亡了，以致疼痛抓紧你，好像临产的妇人呢？

現在你為何大聲哭號呢？疼痛抓住你彷彿產難的婦人，是因你中間沒有君王嗎？你的謀士滅亡了嗎？

現在，你為何大聲呼喊呢？你中間沒有君王，你的謀士滅絕，以致疼痛抓住你，如臨產的婦人嗎？

現在，你為何大聲呼喊呢？你中間沒有君王，你的謀士滅絕，以致疼痛抓住你，如臨產的婦人嗎？

現在你為何大聲哭喊？是因為你沒有王嗎？難道你的謀士都死了嗎，以致你像分娩的婦人一樣痛苦不堪？

現在你為甚麼大聲呼喊？難道你們中間沒有君王嗎？或是你的謀士滅亡了，以致疼痛抓緊你，好像臨產的婦人呢？

如今呢、你為甚麼大聲哭號呢？難道你中間竟沒有王，或是你的謀士都滅亡了，以致產痛抓住了你、像抓住了生產的婦人麼？

今爾何為號呼、爾中無王、爾之謀士隕沒、致爾痛苦、若臨產之婦乎、

爾今何為號呼、若婦將產、艱難勞苦、爾中豈無王公、爾之謀臣、豈盡殞亡、

今爾何為號呼、爾竟若劬勞之產婦、爾竟若劬勞之產婦或作爾竟如婦臨產艱難痛苦爾中豈無君乎、爾之謀士豈盡亡乎、

Why do you now cry aloud— have you no king? Has your ruler perished, that pain seizes you like that of a woman in labor?

Why are you crying out so loudly now? Don’t you have a king? Has your ruler died? Is that why pain comes on you like the pain of a woman having a baby?

Now why do you cry aloud? Is there no king in you? Has your counselor perished, that pain seized you like a woman in labor?

But why are you now screaming in terror? Have you no king to lead you? Have your wise people all died? Pain has gripped you like a woman in childbirth.

Now, why are you shouting loudly? Is there no king with you? Has your counselor perished so that anguish grips you like a woman in labor?

Now why do you cry aloud? Is there no king in your midst? Has your counselor perished? For pangs have seized you like a woman in labor.

Now why dost thou cry out aloud? Is there no king in thee, is thy counsellor perished, that pangs have taken hold of thee as of a woman in travail?

Now, why are you shouting loudly? Is there no king with you? Has your counselor perished so that anguish grips you like a woman in labor?

Now why dost thou cry out aloud?[ is there] no king in thee? is thy counsellor perished? for pangs have taken thee as a woman in travail.

Jerusalem, why are you now shouting so loudly? Has your king disappeared? Has your wise leader been destroyed? Is this why pain grips you as if you were a woman in labor?

Now why do you cry out aloud? Is there no king in you? Has your counselor perished, that pains have taken hold of you as of a woman in travail?

Behold, listen! The cry of the daughter of my people from a distant land:“ Is the Lord not in Zion? Is her King not within her?”“ Why have they provoked Me with their carved images, with foreign idols?”

For behold, the Lord God of armies is going to remove from Jerusalem and Judah Both supply and support, the entire supply of bread And the entire supply of water;The mighty man and the warrior, The judge and the prophet, The diviner and the elder,The captain of fifty and the esteemed person, The counselor and the expert artisan, And the skillful enchanter.And I will make mere boys their leaders, And mischievous children will rule over them,And the people will be oppressed, Each one by another, and each one by his neighbor; The youth will assault the elder, And the contemptible person will assault the one honored.When a man lays hold of his brother in his father’s house, saying,“ You have a cloak, you shall be our ruler! And these ruins will be under your authority,”He will protest on that day, saying,“ I will not be your healer, For in my house there is neither bread nor cloak; You should not appoint me ruler of the people.”

They will be terrified, Pains and anguish will take hold of them; They will writhe like a woman in labor, They will look at one another in astonishment, Their faces aflame.

As the pregnant woman approaches the time to give birth, She writhes and cries out in her labor pains; This is how we were before You, Lord.

For the sons of Israel will live for many days without a king or leader, without sacrifice or memorial stone, and without ephod or household idols.

The breath of our nostrils, the Lord’s anointed, Was captured in their pits, Of whom we had said,“ In his shadow We shall live among the nations.”

Ask now, and see If a male can give birth. Why do I see every man With his hands on his waist, as a woman in childbirth? And why have all faces turned pale?Woe, for that day is great, There is none like it; And it is the time of Jacob’s distress, Yet he will be saved from it.

For this reason my loins are full of anguish; Pains have seized me like the pains of a woman in labor. I am so bewildered I cannot hear, so terrified I cannot see.

Certainly now they will say,“ We have no king, For we do not revere the Lord. As for the king, what can he do for us?”

Where then is your king, That he might save you in all your cities; And your judges, to whom you said,“ Give me a king and princes”?I gave you a king in My anger, And took him away in My wrath.

You who live in Lebanon, Nested in the cedars, How you will groan when sharp pains come on you, Pain like a woman in childbirth!

The king of Babylon has heard the report about them, And his hands hang limp; Distress has gripped him, Agony like a woman in childbirth.

How long must I see the flag And hear the sound of the trumpet?
