直到如今仍照先前的风俗去行。他们不敬畏耶和华，不遵守耶和华吩咐雅各后裔的律例、典章、律法、诫命；雅各就是从前耶和华起名叫以色列的。

我的神、我的王啊、我要尊崇你！我要永永远远称颂你的名！我要天天称颂你，也要永永远远赞美你的名！

亚伯兰九十九岁时，耶和华向他显现，对他说：“我是全能的神。你当在我面前行走，作完全的人，

我要述说主耶和华的大能，我单要提说你的公义。

若你们认为事奉耶和华不好，今日就可以选择所要事奉的：是你们列祖在大河那边所事奉的神明，或是你们所住这地亚摩利人的神明呢？至于我和我家，我们必定事奉耶和华。”

神对摩西说：“我是自有永有的”；又说：“你要对以色列人这样说：‘那自有永有的差派我到你们这里来。’”神又对摩西说：“你要对以色列人这样说：‘耶和华—你们祖宗的神，就是亚伯拉罕的神，以撒的神，雅各的神差派我到你们这里来。’这是我的名，直到永远；这也是我的称号，直到万代。
