“ Rise and thresh, Daughter Zion, for I will give you horns of iron; I will give you hooves of bronze, and you will break to pieces many nations.” You will devote their ill- gotten gains to the Lord, their wealth to the Lord of all the earth.

The Lord says,“ People of Zion, get up and crush your enemies. I will make you like a threshing ox. I will give you iron horns and bronze hooves. So you will crush many nations.” They got their money in the wrong way. But you will set it apart to the Lord. You will give their wealth to the Lord of the whole earth.

Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion, for I will make your horn iron, and I will make your hoofs bronze; you shall beat in pieces many peoples; and shall devote their gain to the Lord, their wealth to the Lord of the whole earth.

“ Rise up and crush the nations, O Jerusalem!” says the Lord.“ For I will give you iron horns and bronze hooves, so you can trample many nations to pieces. You will present their stolen riches to the Lord, their wealth to the Lord of all the earth.”

“ In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever. (niv)

Yet her profit and her earnings will be set apart for the Lord; they will not be stored up or hoarded. Her profits will go to those who live before the Lord, for abundant food and fine clothes. (niv)

Because of your temple at Jerusalem kings will bring you gifts. (niv)

At that time gifts will be brought to the Lord Almighty from a people tall and smooth-skinned, from a people feared far and wide, an aggressive nation of strange speech, whose land is divided by rivers— the gifts will be brought to Mount Zion, the place of the Name of the Lord Almighty. (niv)

Their arrows are sharp, all their bows are strung; their horses’ hooves seem like flint, their chariot wheels like a whirlwind. (niv)

The remnant of Jacob will be among the nations, in the midst of many peoples, like a lion among the beasts of the forest, like a young lion among flocks of sheep, which mauls and mangles as it goes, and no one can rescue.Your hand will be lifted up in triumph over your enemies, and all your foes will be destroyed.“ In that day,” declares the Lord,“ I will destroy your horses from among you and demolish your chariots.I will destroy the cities of your land and tear down all your strongholds.I will destroy your witchcraft and you will no longer cast spells.I will destroy your idols and your sacred stones from among you; you will no longer bow down to the work of your hands.I will uproot from among you your Asherah poles when I demolish your cities.I will take vengeance in anger and wrath on the nations that have not obeyed me.” (niv)
