The seers will be ashamed and the diviners disgraced. They will all cover their faces because there is no answer from God.”

從前雅尼和佯庇怎樣敵擋摩西，這等人也怎樣敵擋真道。他們的心地壞了，在真道上是可廢棄的。然而他們不能再這樣敵擋；因為他們的愚昧必在眾人面前顯露出來，像那二人一樣。 (cunpt)

撒母耳對掃羅說：「你為甚麼攪擾我，招我上來呢？」掃羅回答說：「我甚窘急；因為非利士人攻擊我，神也離開我，不再藉先知或夢回答我。因此請你上來，好指示我應當怎樣行。」 (cunpt)

行法術的也用邪術要生出虱子來，卻是不能。於是在人身上和牲畜身上都有了虱子。行法術的就對法老說：「這是神的手段。」法老心裏剛硬，不肯聽摩西、亞倫，正如耶和華所說的。 (cunpt)

你們若不將夢告訴我，只有一法待你們；因為你們預備了謊言亂語向我說，要等候時勢改變。現在你們要將夢告訴我，因我知道你們能將夢的講解告訴我。」迦勒底人在王面前回答說：「世上沒有人能將王所問的事說出來；因為沒有君王、大臣、掌權的向術士，或用法術的，或迦勒底人問過這樣的事。王所問的事甚難。除了不與世人同居的神明，沒有人在王面前能說出來。」 (cunpt)
