The seers will be ashamed and the diviners disgraced. They will all cover their faces because there is no answer from God.”

Those who see visions will be put to shame. Those who try to figure out what is going to happen will be dishonored. All of them will cover their faces. I will not answer them.”

那日，凡作先知说预言的必因他所论的异象羞愧，不再穿毛衣哄骗人。

使说假话的兆头失效，使占卜的癫狂，使智慧人退后，使他的知识变为愚拙；

“身上有长大麻风灾病的，他的衣服要撕裂，也要蓬头散发，蒙着上唇，喊叫说：‘不洁净了！不洁净了！’

扫罗求问耶和华，耶和华却不藉梦，或乌陵，或先知回答他。

那时，你们必行我仆人所行的，不蒙着嘴唇，也不吃吊丧的食物。

主耶和华说：“日子将到，我必命饥荒降在地上。人饥饿非因无饼，干渴非因无水，乃因不听耶和华的话。

站起来吧！用你从幼年劳神施行的符咒和你许多的邪术；或者可得益处，或者可得强胜。你筹划太多，以致疲倦。让那些观天象的，看星宿的，在月朔说预言的，都站起来，救你脱离所要临到你的事。他们要像碎秸被火焚烧，不能救自己脱离火焰之力；这火并非可烤的炭火，也不是可以坐在其前的火。

只可叹息，不可出声，不可办理丧事；头上仍勒裹头巾，脚上仍穿鞋，不可蒙着嘴唇，也不可吃吊丧的食物。”

扫罗求问神说：“我下去追赶非利士人可以不可以？你将他们交在以色列人手里不交？”这日神没有回答他。

从前以色列中，若有人去问神，就说：“我们问先见去吧！”现在称为“先知”的，从前称为“先见”。）

列国看见这事就必为自己的势力惭愧；他们必用手捂口，掩耳不听。

行法术的在摩西面前站立不住，因为在他们身上和一切埃及人身上都有这疮。

从前雅尼和佯庇怎样敌挡摩西，这等人也怎样敌挡真道。他们的心地坏了，在真道上是可废弃的。然而他们不能再这样敌挡；因为他们的愚昧必在众人面前显露出来，像那二人一样。

我们不见我们的标帜，不再有先知；我们内中也没有人知道这灾祸要到几时呢！

撒母耳对扫罗说：“你为什么搅扰我，招我上来呢？”扫罗回答说：“我甚窘急；因为非利士人攻击我，神也离开我，不再藉先知或梦回答我。因此请你上来，好指示我应当怎样行。”

行法术的也用邪术要生出虱子来，却是不能。于是在人身上和牲畜身上都有了虱子。行法术的就对法老说：“这是神的手段。”法老心里刚硬，不肯听摩西、亚伦，正如耶和华所说的。

你们若不将梦告诉我，只有一法待你们；因为你们预备了谎言乱语向我说，要等候时势改变。现在你们要将梦告诉我，因我知道你们能将梦的讲解告诉我。”迦勒底人在王面前回答说：“世上没有人能将王所问的事说出来；因为没有君王、大臣、掌权的向术士，或用法术的，或迦勒底人问过这样的事。王所问的事甚难。除了不与世人同居的神明，没有人在王面前能说出来。”
