Therefore, it will be night for you— without visions; it will grow dark for you— without divination. The sun will set on these prophets, and the daylight will turn black over them.

爾將遇昏夜、不見異象、遘晦冥、不得卜筮、日必沒於先知之上、晝變為暗、

爾必遭昏夜、不睹光明、不見異象、不能占驗、日必沉西、晝變晦冥、以罰偽先知焉、

爾必遭昏黑、如在夜中、不復得默示、必遭幽暗、不能復卜筮、彼偽先知、必覺如日已沈西、白晝已變晦冥、

Therefore night will come over you, without visions, and darkness, without divination. The sun will set for the prophets, and the day will go dark for them.

So night will come on the prophets. But they will not have any visions. Darkness will cover them. But they will not be able to figure out what is going to happen. The sun will set on the prophets. The day will become dark for them.

Therefore it shall be night to you, without vision, and darkness to you, without divination. The sun shall go down on the prophets, and the day shall be black over them;

Now the night will close around you, cutting off all your visions. Darkness will cover you, putting an end to your predictions. The sun will set for you prophets, and your day will come to an end.

Therefore it will be night for you— without vision, And darkness for you— without divination. The sun will go down on the prophets, And the day will become dark over them.

“ Therefore you shall have night without vision, And you shall have darkness without divination; The sun shall go down on the prophets, And the day shall be dark for them.

Therefore it shall be night unto you, that ye shall have no vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down upon the prophets, and the day shall be black over them.

Therefore night[ shall be] unto you, that ye shall not have a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down over the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them.

Therefore night will fall, and you will receive no visions; it will grow dark, and you will no longer be able to read the omens. The sun will set on these prophets, and the daylight will turn to darkness over their heads.

“ Therefore night is over you, with no vision, and it is dark to you, that you may not divine; and the sun will go down on the prophets, and the day will be black over them.

Go to God’s instruction and testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, there will be no dawn for them.They will wander through the land, dejected and hungry. When they are famished, they will become enraged, and, looking upward, will curse their king and their God.They will look toward the earth and see only distress, darkness, and the gloom of affliction, and they will be driven into thick darkness.

And in that day— this is the declaration of the Lord GOD— I will make the sun go down at noon; I will darken the land in the daytime.I will turn your feasts into mourning and all your songs into lamentation; I will cause everyone to wear sackcloth and every head to be shaved. I will make that grief like mourning for an only son and its outcome like a bitter day.

For the LORD has poured out on you an overwhelming urge to sleep; he has shut your eyes( the prophets) and covered your heads( the seers).

We grope along a wall like the blind; we grope like those without eyes. We stumble at noon as though it were twilight; we are like the dead among those who are healthy.

Because you have disheartened the righteous person with lies( when I intended no distress), and because you have supported the wicked person so that he does not turn from his evil way to save his life,therefore you will no longer see false visions or practice divination. I will rescue my people from your hands. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’”

The mother of seven grew faint; she breathed her last breath. Her sun set while it was still day; she was ashamed and humiliated. The rest of them I will give over to the sword in the presence of their enemies.” This is the LORD’s declaration.

On that day”— this is the declaration of the LORD of Armies—“ I will remove the names of the idols from the land, and they will no longer be remembered. I will banish the prophets and the unclean spirit from the land.If a man still prophesies, his father and his mother who bore him will say to him,‘ You cannot remain alive because you have spoken a lie in the name of the LORD.’ When he prophesies, his father and his mother who bore him will pierce him through.On that day every prophet will be ashamed of his vision when he prophesies; they will not put on a hairy cloak in order to deceive.

There are no signs for us to see. There is no longer a prophet. And none of us knows how long this will last.

Give glory to the LORD your God before he brings darkness, before your feet stumble on the mountains at dusk. You wait for light, but he brings darkest gloom and makes total darkness.
