You hate good and love evil. You tear off people’s skin and strip their flesh from their bones.

你們這些恨惡良善、喜愛壞事、從我人民身上剝奪了皮、從他們骨頭上剔肉的；

惟爾惡善好惡、剝人之膚、剔肉於骨、

惟爾惡善好惡、剝人之皮、刳人之肉、惟餘骨骸、

斯人惡善好惡、剝人之皮、自其骨上剔肉、剝人之皮自其骨上剔肉或作自人身上剝皮自其骨上剔肉

you who hate good and love evil; who tear the skin from my people and the flesh from their bones;

But you hate what is good. And you love what is evil. You are like someone who tears the skin off my people. You pull the meat off their bones.

but you are the very ones who hate good and love evil. You skin my people alive and tear the flesh from their bones.

ye who hate the good, and love the evil; who pluck off their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones;

You hate good and love evil. You tear off people’s skin and strip their flesh from their bones.

“ Her officials within her are like wolves tearing their prey, shedding blood, and destroying lives in order to make profit dishonestly.

Those who reject the law praise the wicked, but those who keep the law pit themselves against them.

Will evildoers never understand? They consume my people as they consume bread; they do not call on God.

Let love be without hypocrisy. Detest evil; cling to what is good.

Why do you crush my people and grind the faces of the poor?” This is the declaration of the Lord GOD of Armies.

Let’s ask him.”The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat,“ There is still one man who can inquire of the LORD, but I hate him because he never prophesies good about me, but only disaster. He is Micaiah son of Imlah.”“ The king shouldn’t say that!” Jehoshaphat replied.

Ahab said to Elijah,“ So, my enemy, you’ve found me, have you?” He replied,“ I have found you because you devoted yourself to do what is evil in the LORD’s sight.

The one who hates me also hates my Father.If I had not done the works among them that no one else has done, they would not be guilty of sin. Now they have seen and hated both me and my Father.

Although they know God’s just sentence— that those who practice such things deserve to die— they not only do them, but even applaud others who practice them.

Hear this, you who trample on the needy and do away with the poor of the land,asking,“ When will the New Moon be over so we may sell grain, and the Sabbath, so we may market wheat? We can reduce the measure while increasing the price and cheat with dishonest scales.We can buy the poor with silver and the needy for a pair of sandals and even sell the chaff!”

“ You stiff-necked people with uncircumcised hearts and ears! You are always resisting the Holy Spirit. As your ancestors did, you do also.Which of the prophets did your ancestors not persecute? They even killed those who foretold the coming of the Righteous One, whose betrayers and murderers you have now become.

“ If the world hates you, understand that it hated me before it hated you.If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own. However, because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of it, the world hates you.

The LORD my God says this:“ Shepherd the flock intended for slaughter.Those who buy them slaughter them but are not punished. Those who sell them say,‘ Blessed be the LORD because I have become rich!’ Even their own shepherds have no compassion for them.

They shouted back,“ Not this man, but Barabbas!” Now Barabbas was a revolutionary.

The world cannot hate you, but it does hate me because I testify about it— that its works are evil.

LORD, don’t I hate those who hate you, and detest those who rebel against you?I hate them with extreme hatred; I consider them my enemies.

unloving, irreconcilable, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, without love for what is good,

They hate the one who convicts the guilty at the city gate, and they despise the one who speaks with integrity.Therefore, because you trample on the poor and exact a grain tax from him, you will never live in the houses of cut stone you have built; you will never drink the wine from the lush vineyards you have planted.For I know your crimes are many and your sins innumerable. They oppress the righteous, take a bribe, and deprive the poor of justice at the city gates.Therefore, those who have insight will keep silent at such a time, for the days are evil.Pursue good and not evil so that you may live, and the LORD, the God of Armies, will be with you as you have claimed.

“ But his subjects hated him and sent a delegation after him, saying,‘ We don’t want this man to rule over us.’

You eat the fat, wear the wool, and butcher the fattened animals, but you do not tend the flock.

The princes within her are roaring lions; her judges are wolves of the night, which leave nothing for the morning.
